You have this clown, Jim Martin, who was governor of NC for one term... in 1985. Davidson (rich kid-tobacco money, just like Sen. Tillis) who ran as a republican— but has always- always been a tobacco democrat. This guy is a joke in NC politics- nothing like the real republicans there today.

He was two termer. And he did NOT get along well with Jesse Helms (on foreign policy) except on the military money machine in NC.
