The Second Amendment makes all the others possible.

If it should take a woman NINE minutes, a woman who thumps her veteran status so much, to answer where she stands on the 2A she shouldn’t be ANYWHERE NEAR government.

“ I say welcome her and give her a chance to prove it.”

Of course.

Five to ten years or so.

"Tulsi Gabbard podcast where she discusses her evolving and current stand on the Second Amendment."

Evolving = A chameleon changing her 2nd Amendment stance to whatever she thinks you want to hear, in order to help herself politically.

I don't trust her either.

Thanks.

She’s still commie.

If she really really really wants to be Trumps’ vp, she’s a mole.

"She was a Democrat for how long?"

She was a Democrat for 23 years. That's far more than the "a bit less than Trump" as claimed by Reno89519. Gabbard's been an Independent less than two years. Trump was registered as a Democrat for 8 years.

"I have to take her at her word."

Gullible much? She's been an Independent for less than two years for cripes sake. This is the same woman who actively endorsed and campaigned for commie Bernie Sanders in 2016, then ran for President as a RAT in 2020. She must have had a brain transplant since then to have evolved so quickly in less than two years.

I’m not aware Trump ran for office or was in Congress.

Trump was also never communist.

Trump had to prove himself and did.

He rode no one’s coattails.

She can run for President herself, or Senate, or Governor or Congress again and prove herself in deed.

Hindu Samoans, generally are pretty trustworthy.
Gabard is a Hindu and half Samoan.
I never voted for her.

BTW have you ever looked up the word epiphany?

I too, “evolved” regarding the Second Amendment.

I once believed “gun control” was a “States’ Rights” issue until I learned about “incorporation” into the union and what the founders actually meant by reading what they wrote.

Then I found this piece, and couldn’t agree more.

This is how “shall not be infringed” translates into modern language:

“Every man, woman, and responsible child has an unalienable individual, civil, Constitutional, and human right to obtain, own, and carry, openly or concealed, any weapon — rifle, shotgun, handgun, machinegun, anything — any time, any place, without asking anyone’s permission.”
-The Atlanta Declaration, L. Neil Smith, 1987

IOW, NO “gun law” passes Constitutional scrutiny, ANY “gun law” is an infringement upon the right to keep and bear arms. Says so “in the paper” as former white house resident Bathhouse Barry Soetero Obeyme used to say.

...“Evolving beliefs” = “finger to the wind”...

And here I always thought that one of the purposes having elections was to align the direction of politicians and government with the will of the people.

As always, there are many issues facing us. If she is electable and benefits DJT's chances I am all in favor of choosing her as VP.

Beats the heck out of Kamel Toe, and I think she qualifies as a minority, i.e indigenous.

Robert Kennedy actually said he had no intention of allowing the Second Amendment to be dismantled because the entire Constitution was already under threat and put the blame for school shooters squarely on Big Pharma and their highly profitable SSRI drugs. Tulsi needs to stake out a similar position, just as clearly.

I think it’s fair to say that we’ve been burned so many times that we don’t trust anyone anymore.

A career politician is going to get the nod. It’s always a question of who will do the most good/least damage.

Having been a Naval Officer, my impression is Naval Officers dislike them the most. At least she’s not a Naval Officer.

No thanks.

Let's go with somebody who's not in politics. Like Vivek or Flynn.

Vivek and Flynn are no less politicians than Tulsi. Of those, I would probably trust Flynn more because he spent some time in the breach (political/legal). I wish he would have fought harder against the DOJ at the beginning of his travails, but he may have thought it the best way to help Trump. Hopefully he has learned not to give a single inch.
