The term "deep fake" refers to material produced by AI that fabricates something that is not real. The WH spokeswitch claimed people were circulating "deep fakes" of Biden being a zombie. This was a transparent lie. The videos are not AI-produced fakes. Biden really was acting like a zombie. The videos are real. Now the WH and the leftist media are pretending she said "cheap fakes" in order to cover up the fact that she lied. "Cheap fake" isn't even a thing. She said "deep fake" and she lied.

Just like the debate four years ago in which Trump’s claim that Biden was for sale to the highest foreign bidder was dismissed by Biden as “debunked conspiracy theories.” The moderators let him get away with it then and they will let him get away with it this time.
Trump should never have agreed to the debates. It is a set-piece entirely controlled by Biden’s boosters. Trump is getting some really bad advice - AGAIN.
As for the "fakes" part, the White House wishes they were fakes.
At most, they might have created and released one—to discredit the real videos.
