Biden rewarded deadbeat 'students' with his stupid 'loan forgiveness' for the most irresponsible among us.

And Trump?

Trump's rewarding hard working blue collar WORKERS with his promise to stop taxing tips. It's the right incentive - rewards for hardworking citizens AND nothing for deadbeats..

answer to this is to make those jobs that have alternative minimum wages, such as waiters, that have tips as a required compensation, to no long be exempted for the current minimum wages.

If McDonalds staff get paid minimum wage, I fail to see why a diner shouldn’t.

I really despise these little cutouts for special interests in laws, like this one.

only ones that sort of make sense are the agricultural ones.

THE LIMIT For GIFTS without taxes is around $17,000.

IF a well to do person can GIFT his kids every year-—why is this wrong?

The paperwork restaurants is onerous, also.

The flip side is a guaranteed tip can make some servers lazy.

Actually it was passed the first time during the Reagan Presidency, and the rate was 50%, Reagan signed it into law in 84. Uncle Joe voted for it then, then in 94 they raised it to 85% which Billy Jeff signed.

People tip workers that they know are receiving the tips as their wages.

Workers they see as being paid wages they don’t tip, no matter how helpful and self sacrificing, plenty of workers do more a heck of a lot more in service than serve food, but the lines of tips as pay are well known.

Every tipped position makes full minimum wage. Some positions can be paid a 'tipped minimum wage' ($2.13/hr), but they still MUST make the full $7.25 or whatever it is, the employer can just count tips against their pay down to a minimum of $2.13 if they so choose. But with zero tips that day, the employer is then required to pay $7.25/hr.

Most people will tip their waitress or bartender no matter what. They'll only reduce or cut the tip if they know the waiter is making a hefty amount, like $15 or $20 per hour before tips. Or if Dominos/PapaJohn's/etc charge a delivery fee. No matter what they say on the website, that fee IS the tip.
