Pretty clear that the French Army did nothing to fight the Nazi invasion. The Communists within the army told them— don’t fight.
Azerbaijan is just the spoon. If you want to know who’s hand is stirring the pot, look for the one that has something to gain. China wants bases in New Caledonia, the Solomons and other island chains to project power into Oceania. Many of the islands where we fought Japan 80 years ago will eventually host Chinese bases, establishing Chinese hegemony in Oceania and the Western Pacific.
If the french weren’t busy betraying someone, they’d have stopped being a nation.
