I see his point though. The Democrats want to keep the Blacks on the plantation and use them for votes. Apparently, Black males are complaining about the “setup”. We’ll see what happens.
I still don’t understand why black women get such lavish pandering from Biden but black men nothing
Numbers.
As of 2019, 69% of the electorate were non Hispanic white voters.
11% each were black and hispanic. Remaining 8-9% Asian or other identified ethnicity like American Indian or whatever.
The estimate is . . . of the 11% black vote -— Trump is drawing about 12% of black women, up from 4%. And 30% of black men, up from 19%.
The women outvote the men. So it is not a direct (30 + 12) / 2 for 21%. He won’t get 21%. But he’ll get something like 18%. Compared to 9% in 2020.
So blacks are 11% of the electorate — which in 2020 was a total of 156 million votes. So they are 17 million votes.
Biden’s alleged total was 7 million more than Trump’s. 5M in Calif and 2M in NY. A move about 9-10% increase in black votes for Trump would be 1.7 million votes added. Reducing the Biden 7M edge to 5.3M.
A fairly important issue in this is this 10% move also extends to vote counting bureaucracy. More precinct heads in those neighborhoods will have changed preference. Cheating diminishes.
I suppose it comes down to the ideology of the Democratic Party. "Toxic masculinity" is not wiped out from black men. Can't have that. Also, with black men in prison, black women are dependent on the government. Which is good for the Democratic Party.
The reason is simple and we saw it in CA all the time.
Blacks and Hispanics fight for the same jobs.
They really don’t like each other because of it.
Blacks (well some of them) are realizing what working class White Folks realized long ago.
Getting their support is one thing. If we don’t get them to the polls to vote with us it’s pointless.
We need to focus on capitalizing on our inroads with the black male demographic.
I’ve never understood why black voters have voted so strongly Democrat in recent decades.
Somebody told me once that it was because of President Johnson and the civil rights laws of the 1960s. And LBJ was a Democrat.
Perhaps political rhetoric enters into it. We are told how Republicans are racist sexist etc. The implication then is that any blakcs must vote Democrat to keep racists out of elective office.
They started shifting with FDR.
Because they vote. Black males have a lower turnout than the gullible black, single female.
Grammar police says "There ARE a variety of reasons"
The real answer to why Trump is drawing support from black males is - he’s not. It’s a faulty premise. Republicans have typically gotten zero support for blacks, so when Trump gets a little more than zero, it’s “a lot”.
I think it’s awesome that he’s making inroads - but let’s face it - 20% is not “a lot”.
My local radio host (Los Angeles) - opened up his call line right after Trump’s guilty verdict - angry caller after caller, self-identified as black or “Mexican” said they’d had it with Biden and were voting for Trump.
I’m sure not enough to swing any election in So Cal to the Republicans.
I agree. I think.
‘Legend, like the left in general, believes that traditional masculinity, which emphasizes stoic strength, competitiveness, and a sense of adventure, is a socially-constructed mask that boys and young men have imposed on them, stifling their true nature – which is feminine. (Girls and young women, meanwhile, are encouraged by the left to emulate the most toxic male stereotype: hyper-ambitious, promiscuous, foul-mouthed, and aggressively obnoxious.)’
That’s it in a nutshell; it’s also really well-stated. Black men seem to be a bit tired of the destruction that feminism has caused in their communities. They should be. Let’s hope they actually vote this time.
