I’m not sure if you and wife share cooking or just one of you but I’d like to know what seasoning, herbs spices you use in her Asian foods I like the five spice Chinese, curry, cumin, ginger, turmeric most often in varying combinations. Always garlic n onion. I’d love to know a favorite stir fry recipe from her homelands it’s okay if there’s meat in I can substitute for all even oyster sauce
Also for greens in stir fry which ones do you use
I have beet seeds in one of my banana boxes. I love beets but have never used the greens. I want to try them in my stir fry this summer I’ve normally used collards
I’m going to get some veggies today for both salad n stir fry. We don’t have an Asian market close (30 miles) but my regular go to store has collards and instead of the white asian radish I’ll use red. Have celery on hand n if they have bok choy I’ll get that. Problem is often the produce is in very large bags so I substitute. I never get the precut veggies. I actually love doing the prep. I’ll probably add slivered almonds and water chestnuts. I need to use more sprouts Theyre so healthy and add a nice texture often just forget them,

You can get a really good idea how the U.S. economy is doing by watching restaurants in your area. When the economy is booming, restaurant parking lots are full and chains are feverishly establishing new locations.
But when the economy is struggling, restaurants get a lot less traffic and poor performing locations get shut down.
Sadly, in 2024 it appears that a “restaurant apocalypse” has started to sweep across America. Most people have very little discretionary income to spend as a result of our cost of living crisis, and that is particularly true for our young adults. Americans under the age of 40 love to eat out, but these days most of them are experiencing financial stress, and this is having an enormous impact on the restaurant industry.

I’ve spent a little time at our local GOP sites and there is apparently a lot of shifting around of personnel in the various media. To me it’s not worthy of much discussion. The good guys go where they go for their own reasons

Am I too naïve to expect journalist will actually do what their profession is supposed to do? Be truthful, honest, and do some digging- not carry out the days agenda.

Here’s just a few ideas I have.
Even though nothing will be done by the DOJ, why not censure him, recommend he be charged for perjury, why not hold him in contempt there is any number of things that could be done that might cause him some degree of public embarrassment, remind him should Republican ever get control of the DOJ again they 100% prosecute him.
Remember Republicans can do all of that. Ask yourself, do the Republicans have any sort of strategy on how to hold Fauci or anyone else accountable, IMO the answer is absolutely not.
The other thing I would do, instead of allowing MTG or other Republicans to offer up softball questions that he cannot remember or lie to, I would hire a top-notch Republican Prosecutor as special counsel for the committee and allow that person to cross examine him for the entire time he was testifying, run all the lies he’s told by him and get him on record lying again.
The way it works now, each member gets 5-10 minutes of questions which is not nearly enough time to get him pin
