And, you're again putting out a false narrative. The war in Ukraine is civil war, one we started by fomenting an illegal coup in Ukraine and installing puppet government that was hostile to both the ethnic Russian population in Ukraine and to Moscow.
It was those in Donetsk and Lugansk fighting invaders that were persecuting and killing them and trying to drive them from their homes. And with the help of the Russian government they succeeded.
Those that are victims of illegal coups are under no obligation to remain part of country whose government came to power illegally.
