I’m so sick of these people. These “tribes” should get what they want..... TOTAL sovereignty. No help from the USA and definitely no voting in ANY US or state election.
Nailed it! If they wanted to crack down on it they could, but they don’t.
As the old adage goes...its not what they say; its what they do (or don’t do in this case).

If so, then she has nothing to apologize for. But if she's making her statements based on what she "believes" and not what she can "prove," then she has a problem.
The ball is in her court to prove her assertions, and if the Indian nations within South Dakota ARE in league with Mexican drug cartels, then it's time law enforcement get their act together.
It is way past time for us to abandon the fiction of the ‘sovereign’ status of the tribes. Let’s cut ALL welfare and other monetary support for reservations, and most of them would dissolve.
“We depend on state services for the needs of our people,” but keep the hell out.

Stop giving welfare to these pre-americans. That will shut them up.
Neighbor, who died a few years ago, was 1/4 Indian, had an almost religious devotion to local tribe that lived on the nearby “Rez:”
He was a counselor at alcoholism clinic, made good money helping people get sober. He’d be furious but not surprised about drug-smuggling situation. That’s what Indians do because they can. Needs a change of laws, which isn’t going to happen.
Poor Indians? Not where they have casinos.
Opening gambling dens and whorehouses can and do keep them filthy rich, at leas the tribal leaders.
Do you think they'd actually share the wealth? LOL
