I think that this is the strategy — Biden is the front man who can be discarded when he is no longer useful to whomever is actually running the president.
Joe was selected because they knew only an old white guy that Centrists were comfortable with could beat Trump, or make it close enough to get away with the cheat.
They should have evicted Pedo Joe last autumn at the latest if they were going to do it at all. The strategy most likely for Democrat success at this point is to buttress up their House and Senate campaigns in the hopes of mounting another Resist-Trump jihad within them and the Dem-loyal political establishment called Deep State. Hunker down for four years. Go back to playing the long game. They've done it before.

I suspect that Dems at their convention will spring someone new out of no where, like they did with Obama.
Dems and Joe are waiting for trial decisions before they kick Biden to the curb.
The probability of the deep state making an offer to Trump, he can’t refuse, to throw the election is not zero.
If Biden 'steps down' because of dementia it gives him a nice spot in history that ignores the fact he has no chance of winning and that democrat primaries were a sham. It gives his fellow democrats a way to choose someone else without looking like they're manipulative jerks who don't care a wit about the votes and voters of their own party.
The big problem is Kamala - she'll have to leave with him or she might choose to run rather than giving it all up for Gavin. That has to be worked out.
Lucky for democrats that no matter how convoluted and insane the excuses will be, their butt boys in the press with buy any story dems put out. The advantage of have a homegrown state Pravda instead of a free press.

At one time I thought Oprah Winfrey but she;s made some pretty awful racist comments. Sports stars can do pretty well (they have public profiles and often, at least, don’t spew stupid idiotic leftist propaganda)

My prediction: Biden is going to fall down some stairs (either intentionally, or tripped) any day now. And he and The Laughing Camela will be replaced.

The Biden “won’t drop out” consensus is not real.
Nobody in the Democrat loop can talk about Biden dropping out without inadvertently causing it to happen. Talk will cause Biden’s polls to drop and bring more pressure to bear.

Biden will drop out in a manner similar to how Raisi dropped out. The only difference will be that Eli Koptur will not be involved.
There is going to be a convention fight.
