I will try. When you get into the tropics, the kinds of foods available are quite different to what we have here in the U.S. Fruits and vegetables I’ve never heard of are common. For whatever reason, low/no demand, difficulty in shipping, whatever, they are not available here.
Denver needs to provide these ‘culturally appropriate ingredients’ to our newcomers. If this involves booking daily flights to Central and South America as well as Africa (mmm bush meat!) to provide these ingredients, then Denver should pay to make it happen. /s

From having stayed in homeless shelters as an American, at least some of those things aren’t available to Americans.
For instance, many shelters ban food from being brought in. And it’s not always the freshest, either. Some of it is donations. Bread and donuts are often served, and they’re often a couple days old.

The price for their votes seems to be going up. I’m sure Democrat politicians can still find something more in the taxpayers’ pockets to meet the new demands.
