Rivian is backed by the wealthy as can be Saudis, one of whom took down $11billion on the IPO.

Makes you wonder how much Pritzker will make from this deal.

However, its starting price is expected to be about $45,000

The governor's family made its original fortune by buying scorched earth after the Chicago Fire in 1871 and then reselling it at a higher price. Now how did the buyer know that land would suddenly be worth a lot more?

Not all of the carpetbaggers went South.

And look up Jennifer Prtizker, the governor's cousin. It lives in Kentucky, last I heard.

The whole Pritzker clan is a collection of thieves and perverts. JB is the one who went into politics.

This whole “Green Movement” is based on bullshit. It is being used to bankroll the wealthy and make everyone else destitute.

Forgot many governors from IL went to prison, add another one for money laundering. But just a guess...

This is the failed Soviet model.

Gubmint invests in the manufacturing of stuff folks do not want.
Gubmint hammers the production of stuff people actually want to buy, creating shortages.
Misery increases and spreads throughout the land
Folks turn to alcohol, or fentanly, to cope

I saw a Rivian SUV this weekend I was perplexed by the stupidity of paying that much for a company’s vehicle that will cease to exist before it’s paid for. Hell, I don’t even know where they got it.

Amazon bought at least 10,000 of them for use as delivery vans.

Bet the fleet sale was subsidized.

That money is probably coming out of the State Pension fund and straight down the drain. They could be putting that in energy stocks, etc., and get growth and dividends but no they have to invest politically.

"In August 2013, Pritzker released a statement to employees at Tawani Enterprises and the Pritzker Military Library that subsequently received wide media coverage, indicating the change from "J. N." to "Jennifer Natalya" to reflect her status as a transgender woman, making her the first and only openly transgender billionaire."

/facepalm
