Cohen’s tick, which was had disappeared during most of the prosecution’s questioning has obviously returned during Blanche’s cross examination. The left side of his face intermittently moves without control.

Now asking about Art of the Deal, asking if Cohen viewed it as a masterpiece.

Cohen: I wanted my voice to be reflected that the Stelle Dossier was not accurate.
Blanche: Did they tell you to tell the truth?

Blanche: Did they tell you that lying to a federal agent was a crime?

Cohen: I was not being completely honest. I was trying to protect President Trump.

Based on what Fox is reporting, Cohen is echoing prior witnesses in saying how much he enjoyed working for (President) Trump and even still lives in a Trump building.
Of course, he then wants to see him behind bars😡
More fodder for appeal if it is even needed.
I’m trying to stay optimistic in thinking that even people who don’t like Trump would see through this Circus of a Trial.
Cohen is a very vindictive person.

Blanche asking when Cohen first met with the District Attorneys office. Cohen says when he was in Otisville Prison, 90 miles North of New York City.
Blanche asked if Anthony Scaramucci came to visit him in prison in 2019. Cohen says he can’t remember the date but Scaramucci did come to visit him.
Judge suggests now is a good time for the afternoon break. We will pick this up in 15 minutes.
This is Blanche’s best moments of the trial and it isn’t even close. The way he started with Cohen asking him if he called him a “crying little shit” and Cohen called Trump, “Dictator Douchebag” should crush any potential sympathy the jury would feel for Cohen, if any had built up over the last day and a half.

President Trump is reentering the courtroom flowed by his legal team, his aforementioned senior advisors, Vivek, Cory Mills, Eric and Lara Trump, and others.
The Judge is seated and calling the witness.
Michael Cohen enters stage right and walks behind President Trump to retake the witness stand for more cross examination from Todd Blanche.
Waiting on the jury…
The jury has reentered and is seated, Blanche will commence…
Blanche continues that the first time Cohen met with Manhattan DA’s office was when he was in Otisville for a little over a month. Cohen affirms.
Blanche asks if Cohen remembers asking what was in it for him. Cohen says that was one of his questions.
Blanche: did you express that you were screwed over by the system
Cohen: I can’t recall, but possibly.
Blanche: Again, you wanted to know the benefit to you, is that fair?
Cohen: Correct
Blanche brings up Rule 35 motion in federal court which gives the judge who sentences you the right to give you a lower sentence for things like cooperation. Cohen says he is aware of Rule 35.
Aside: Blanche doing a fantastic job pointing out potential motive of Cohen and why he might say whatever he needs to to help get himself out of Otisville prison early.
Cohen now being asked by Blanche about his “redemption tour” after he was released from prison, which included his book, “Disloyal” and podcast “Mea Culpa”
Blanche asks if he referred to President Trump as the following on his Mea Culpa podcast:
“Borish cartoon misogynist”
“Cheeto dusted cartoon villain.”
“I truly fucking hope this man ends up in prison.”
Cohen says sounds like something he would say to all three.
Cohen now being asked by Blanche to put on earphones to listen to a part of his Mea Culpa podcast. Blanche also has earphones on, as does Judge Merchan. The jury does not have earphones on.
We did not hear it in the courtroom so not sure what was said.
Prosecution asks if they can approach the bench for a moment before Blanche asks a question.
Blanche: Do you recall saying: “President Trump needs to do the perp walk and get into the can” on your Mea Culpa podcast.
Cohen: I don’t recall but i might have said that.
Blanche continues asking about motives:
Blanche: Is it fair to say that you are motivated by fame?
Cohen: No i don’t think that’s fair to say
Blanche: Would you say you’re motivated by publicity.
Cohen: I don’t think that’s fair to say
Blanche reads piece from Cohen’s book which says: You had wealth but you wanted power, fast cars, private plane, and the zest and glamor for life.
Blanche: You also love being on CNN, MSNBC and Fox is that correct?
Cohen: When I was speaking on behalf of President Trump.
Blanche reasks and Cohen admits that he loved going on for Mr. Trump and he still loves it now, just slightly less.
Blanche now asking about Cohen meetings with Mark Pomerantz, who infamously joined the DA’s office to assist with the investigations into President Donald Trump, and then when Bragg chose not to bring a case against Trump, quit and went on a book tour assailing the DA and making the case for why they need to persecute, make that, prosecute, President Trump.

Blanche asking about ankle bracelet, which Cohen said eventually turned into a phone.
At some point in 2021, you wanted the DA to acknowledge your cooperation because you were looking for a reduction in sentencing even though it was just home confinement.
Cohen agrees and adds that along with his work at Otisville, explaining that he got work and education credits to help reduce his sentence. Cohen says it never amounted to anything.
Blanche asking about a 2021 interview Cohen gave with MSNBC and Ari Velshi. Then asking about going on Joy Reid’s program in 2021. Cohen recalls going on both shows, not exactly in 2021 but eventually agrees that he did.
Cohen asked if he knew there was a new District Attorney. Cohen says yes. Also acknowledges that he’s talked publicly about Alvin Bragg.
Cohen says he never met with Alvin Bragg.
Cohen asked how much he made from his second book, Revenge.
Blanche adding up how much Cohen says he made from his two books, Disloyal and Revenge. That number is agreed to be around $3.4 Million
Blanche pointing out that Cohen called himself a fixer.
Blanche asks: When you consider yourself a fixer, is it because you fixed the things that you broke in the first place?
Cohen: No sir.
Blanche: Did there come a time when you became concerned that the DA was releasing stories on you.
Cohen: Yes
Judge suggests that Mr. Blanche stop for the day. Blanche agrees that it’s a good time as he is going into a new area.
Merchan now giving the jury their instructions.
The jury has exited the courtroom stage right.
Convicted felon, Michael Cohen has also exited the courtroom stage right through a different door. Cohen’s walks behind President Trump never attempting to make eye contact.
Merchan now says: “Counsel, please approach.”
There is a gaggle of the lawyers with Merchan.
Judge asks if it’s possible to finish with the witness by Thursday afternoon. Blanche says he thinks yes, by the end of the day. Judge says, again, take your time.
Blanche now asking about their expert witness and whether a piece of evidence is admissible, the Judge will hear that on Thursday afternoon when they dismiss the jury early at 4pm.
Blanche: When you testified yesterday, you had a specific recollection of a conversation with President Trump
Cohen: I did
Blanche: But when you testified in 2018, you didn’t remember specifically.
Cohen: I was not being completely honest. I was trying to protect President Trump.
So, we know the standard lie, er, line they gave serial liar Cohen to say, when he’s caught in another lie....it was to protect President Trump.
