“... to make us hate him more.”
Congrads, you get it. If people had been reading the intent of what Johnson was doing from the start, to separate the money flow into three arguments, they would have seen why it was being done.
Johnson is a poster child by the swamp republians to blame on their failures from the word go. Two of the three “bills” Johnson has forced into the mix are definate republican efforts and the third, the Ukraine, has not been stopped by the republicans and they have made no effort to stop the illicit funding for the past couple of years.
So I see no reason to beat up on Johnson when he hasn’t done what either side wants to do. The only difference is that the liberals will have to give up on the border and Taiwan to get the Ukraine funding the republicans are now saying should stop. So it will be a win at the border with cutting back on numbers, a win in Taiwan against the Chinese, and an argument about the Ukraine the republicans have already proven they aren’t will to make that now will have to be because Johnson has forced them into the spotlight. And this started before Johnson was in the seat. Throw him out? He understands the swamp. And they don’t like it even as they are winning. And they are so crooked, they can’t afford not to.

Uniparty defending the uniparty.
I’m not impressed.
I believe all this Republican betrayal in the house is to demoralize us so we don’t vote in November. They can’t slow Trump’s train down, but they can slow all the momentum of other Republicans voters by all this Republican deceit.
Yep
I don’t believe Ro.
Not because his interests would not be served by support of Johnson, but because EVERY Democrat is a LIAR and you can’t believe a word they say.
>> Johnson ain’t perfect by any means, but he’s better than McCarthy was
I used to think that, in fact I was enthusiastic when he was (finally) elected, though I would have preferred Jordan.
But after witnessing not only the depth of his betrayal of We The People, but also the LOW LIFE METHODS by which he achieved it, the bastard is DEAD to me.
I don’t know a person who has no opinion.. We are influenced by what we see, what we hear, and the environment around us.
This Speaker Johnson took the position as Speaker, going off in a direction not expected.
Reading opinions on here.. First thing, giving Ukraine.. Or anyone.. That kind of money, like it grows on trees. When our border is open and we are flooded with millions of unknown disasters apt to hit. And with leadership weak and corrupt.
We the people are already angry out here.. Our President was switched for a dementia patient.. Prices going up and families are dealing with no help..
And the new Speaker Johnson, a Republican.. Dealing with the democrats in giving Ukraine.. A country we don’t Owe.. That kind of money.. With a B..
He didn’t know that was not going to fly? He’s young, and that’s the only excuse I can find where stupidity is in full blown sight.
Or he lied to get the job, and get him out.
>> So it will be a win at the border with cutting back on numbers
You have got to be joking. FACILITATING ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION BY LAW AT (ONLY!!?!) ONE POINT FIVE MILLION A YEAR is NOT “a win at the border”! Are you really that breathtakingly stupid? Or do you hate America too?
Duuuuuuh!
These Democrats know they’re not helping Johnson by saying this publicly. The next step is to put an actual Democrat in charge. And it’s pretty close.
“ Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that he would vote to table any motion to vacate House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA)…”
************************************************************
Because he is now, without question, THEIR MAN… and is quite open about it.
We have seen nothing yet compared to the damage to our nation that will occur at the hands of Speaker Johnson in the future.
“Changing House Speakers is rearranging the deck chairs on The Titanic.”
I think this is right. Until you solve the structural problem which is that the Republican party’s members, including most of the voters, do not care at all about cutting government waste, then this is just so much hot air.
It was interesting that Trump did not have much of anything to say about the bills, other than that he correctly didn’t want Ukraine to have free money without paying it back.
Exactly!
Maybe that has been the Deep State Plan all along
This DIM is one pathetic dishonest loser.
Jon, the votes on FISA and Ukraine sealed their doom. From now on, my support (with the few resources I have) will go to the True Texas Project. They're having a great impact on local politics, and totally dislike RINOs.
I have two votes worth casting in November: for Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. I'll take a good hard look at others on the ballot. I can't wait for Cruz to start hammering Allred on his lack of independence. He will be a lackey to Chuck Schumer.
