Paul can get bent on this.
What support? Paul certified Biden back in 2021.
Rand is 100% correct.
Indisputably.
As certain as the day is long.
I, his very first supporter on FR, will not vote for him if he continues this insanity with Johnson and Ukraine.
Is there no one in the USA better to be Speaker than Johnson.
The House GOPeers should try Trump on for size.
Trump could be both POTUS and Speaker it would seem.
Now wouldn’t THAT be fun?

If he supports all of this it’s pretty hard to blame everything on Biden. This guy is no better than Jefferies. He’s worst because he gives thr added cover of Bi partisanship. MTG shouldn’t be thrown by the fear of handing it to the Rats. It may be foe the better. The Repukes, ever the liars, will oppose thr exact same bill when offered by Jefferies in order to keep the big lie going. It’s actually more likely that the Repukes vote the right way when they are in the minority.
The Speaker Is A Johnson
He’s right but Trump has repeatedly said he’d end the war in Ukraine by cutting funding off to it.
Rand is correct.
You think Paul could take everything that been thrown at President Trump?
Rand is correct. I am certain that Trump will lose the election if he does not publicly denounce this betrayal and evil bill.
Rand Paul should have thought about what the consequences would be when he turned-tail on January 6th, and voted to accept Biden’s fraudulent electors, after planning on rejecting them. I lost any respect for him and Marsha Blackburn for backing down from their original decision.
Senator Paul needs to answer this question: What’s the exist strategy for Republicans if they vacate the Speaker’s position again?
It would be far better to wait until the next Congress to enact a penalty against Mike Johnson than to do it mid-year and face a very real possibility of a Democrat Speaker.
Of course, this is the dirty little secret - most politicians on both sides of the aisle are willing to do whatever it takes to prevent Donald Trump from winning another term in the White House.
How can anyone trust him after that?
This is the sort of thing from Rand Paul that has prevented me from ever fully trusting him. Rand Paul is one of these purists, who either can’t think strategically or just doesn’t care about the consequences because he’s more interested in standing on principle than winning.
Everybody knows Johnson’s career as GOP leader is destined to be a short one. Trump understands that as well as anyone. All you have to do is read between the lines of Trump’s recent statements on the matter to figure that out. But to oust Johnson now, without a plan for how to replace him, is very risky at the moment, with only 7 months until the election, a razor thin House majority, and a Democrat party waiting to pounce on any vulnerability.
Trump’s position on this will only hurt his election chances if Rand Paul’s short sighted assessment of the situation is shared by most of Trump voters. Fortunately it’s not.
This Mike Johnson guy turned out to be a bit of weasel, didn’t he?
Johnson turned out to be a replacement Paul Ryan, but then so was McCarthy.
It is interesting bedfellows Trump has chosen. Turned back on border, now supporting Ukraine aid, supporting Johnson who is delivering Biden’s agenda, even embracing abortion. What next?
These Marxists have been at it for over a century and are about to spike the football in the end-zone. There’s no way in hell they’re letting Trump back into the White House, Johnson, or not.
This is melodramatic. I don’t support Ukrainian welfare, but most people do not care at all about the issue one way or the other. Trump could take any position he wants on Ukraine aid and it would not matter.
