Good move.
Is he still wearing his lift boots?
“Meanwhile, Florida still hasn’t secured its elections or protected its budget from Deep State.”
You lie about FL and Ron so often that I have to wonder if you’re a paid plant.
Or just a potted plant.
“This legislation will strengthen election security measures by requiring voter rolls to be annually reviewed and updated, strengthening ID requirements, establishing the Office of Election Crimes and Security to investigate election law violations, and increasing penalties for violations of election laws.”
You’re so easily refuted, and so often, it’s becoming amusing.
Here’s the simple solution, prosecute crime.
“He’s big on law and order!
Except when it comes to rigged elections, weaponization of fed government, mass censorship and J6 Floridians rotting in the gulag.”
Seriously? Do you think anyone on FR is actually dumb enough to believe your lies?
You’re so easily refuted, you must be a dem or recent product of public schools in a dem area.
I’ll take them one at a time:
1. “Except when it comes to rigged elections...”
WRONG! (sad trombone)
“Today, Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill (SB) 524, Election Administration, to ensure that Florida continues to have secure and accurate elections. This legislation will strengthen election security measures by requiring voter rolls to be annually reviewed and updated, strengthening ID requirements, establishing the Office of Election Crimes and Security to investigate election law violations, and increasing penalties for violations of election laws.”
2. “..weaponization of fed government...”
What would you suggest a State Governor do to stop it? Send our Troopers to DC to arrest...who? Be specific; we’re all truly interested in stopping it. And point out the exact section in the Constitution here it’s allowed.
You do understand that States have very little power over the Fedgov, right? Then again, dems or recent public school grads don’t get taught much about that anymore. On purpose.
3, 4. “...mass censorship and J6 Floridians rotting in the gulag.”
Same answer as in #2. Tell is exactly what he ahould do, and quote where in the Constitution it allows it. It’s only 5 pages, shouldn’t be hard.

The primary is long decided. Desantis hasn’t been in the race in months. Ron was a Founding Member of the House Freedom Caucus, and long an enemy of fedzilla. McConnell, Ryan, ect. despised him. Trump is a champion of Freedom and wants to slash fedzilla.
People who still try to divide us between Ron and Don are Evil and want us Freedom Lovers to lose.
Saw him at Walgreen’s, was a bit surprised, as I hadn’t heard he was coming!
GOOD!
DeSantis is just where he needs to be.
He’s being a huge thorn in the side for the left and showing other governors how it should be done.
It makes others like Newsome, look really bad, no matter how the left tried to paint it.
Agreed.
The anti-conservatives on FR do not care about facts. They just make things up like the anti-Trumpers on the left, but are not intelligent enough to see they are equally disgraceful people.
These anti-conservatives are not our friends and we need to watch out for them here as they will be the first to turn us in to the Biden gestapo if he wins re-election.
You truly are Harry Reid reincarnate. I would have thought by now you would have at least expanded your list of lies and given us that are plagued by your drivel some variety.
While we’re getting tax breaks from the budget surplus in FL, what are you getting in NY? Oh that’s right there’s those illegals in your sanctuary cities that must be supported. No tax breaks for you.
There was a totally bogus claim floating around that Kasich endorsed him. Kasich criticized him and never endorsed him.
Your DeSantis Derangement Syndrome is showing.
Are you saying DeSantis won nearly 60 percent of the vote in the 2022 gubernatorial election because he rigged the vote?
May we see your data?
“DeSantis blew $500,000,000 in a primary over three years ago from small donors.”
Five hundred million?
May we see your data?
“There was nothing hard about it. That’s because it was never a problem here in Florida in the first place. We already had laws to deal with squatters. As others have pointed out, DeSantis passed legislation that outlawed something that was already illegal.”
I don’t think you are correct. Prior to the new “squatters law,” the owner of the property had to remove a squatter occupying the premises for 30 days or more through the eviction process: https://www.southfloridalawpllc.com/2024/04/05/changes-to-floridas-squatters-rights-laws-what-you-need-to-know/
You are citing someone that does not know what they are talking about.
But sure, fault DeSantis for taking the lead and argue he should let things get completely out of control before attempting to take any action.
I stand corrected.
Umm, NO. Talk to Patti Peeples from Jacksonville, who had to contact the news a year ago AND form her own organization against squatters.
He might have made this decision on his own but I'm thinking that he was persuaded by the disloyal RINOs telling him that Trump was going to be put in jail or otherwise taken out of the race and that this was "his time."
If so, it was bad advice.
Had DeSantis fully condemned the lawfare being waged against Trump and stood behind him, instead of running against him hoping that the lawfare would work, he would not only have been the clear front runner for 2028, but if Trump WAS somehow taken down by this lawfare, MAGA people would have rallied around him in 2024 as the logical alternative.
Now he is damaged goods with the MAGA movement, and that's too bad because he really has been a solid governor for Florida since dropping out of the presidential race, which he clearly wasn't ready for.
Glad to see his focus is back on Florida and I'm glad to see him cracking down on retail theft, something that all too many states seemingly allow.
Yup. Timing is everything and his was not good. Really bothers me that he has effectively killed his future over a mistimed run.
It is too soon to say how much DeSantis has been damaged. If things stay exactly the same over the next 16 years DeSantis, indeed, may be finished.
But things change. Reagan bounced back nicely after losing his presidential campaigns in 1968 and 1976 - the latter against a sitting Republican president.
And Trump rebounded after his disastrous loss to Pat Buchanan when they both ran for president in 2000.
Net: I think there is a good chance things may change in the next 16 to 20 years.
