That is what is so bizarre about it. There is no way they support Israel, at least in no reality I can think of. So is this just about poking an American eye?

More likely, China and Russia want the unrest to continue and escalate due to the perceived mistreatment of Gaza by Israel by the Left.

In Gaza, the Health Ministry raised the death toll in the territory Thursday to nearly 32,000 Palestinians. It doesn’t differentiate between civilians and combatants in its count but says women and children make up two-thirds of the dead.

I wonder who the abstention is?

The Health Ministry is controlled by Hamas without any external verification, so I would take their numbers with a boulder of salt. Also, no mention that the few entry points into Gaza are controlled by Hamas and that they take whatever aid comes through these points, removes what it needs for its own soldiers, and then sells anything that's left after adding a 16% tax on its value.

To me, the long run solution is for the IDF to roll in, eradicate Hamas to the last soldier, and let the Palestinians elect a new gov't.
