Ok. Thanks.

The thing you continue to get wrong is propagating the false narrative that it’s an unfinished civil war.

It’s not.

Taiwan had nothing to do with China’s civil war.

Taiwan was part of Japan.

In the GWB POTUS days they did project ahead to China being ‘the problem’ but not immediately.

Gordon Chang was pushing an agenda a decade ago I heard him on the radio in my car at night.

They gave 2025 as the magic date for China to overtake the US as I recall it.

So we are pretty much on schedule.

We are where we’re at. Almost 250 years but our strength sapping out.

I read Peter Hitchens and he can diss the USA for taking British gold to cover World War II debts and the US forcing the UK to accept the “Good Friday Agreement” with the IRA terrorists in Ireland.

But I think the British did things to us and still are with their propaganda regarding Ukraine and so on.

I hate China. But, only an idiot or someone with vested financial interest in starting a war would think the Taiwan wouldn't be destroyed in a war between us and China.

It's moronic to think we could go into China's own backyard and not suffer massive causalities.

The problem is people like you don't care how many die in the wars you want to create.

Then, we secure the borders and keep Chinese nationalists out. We should end all trade with China and get our manufacturing done elsewhere.

But, starting a war with China in their own backyard would be incredibly stupid.

The Russians, except for nuclear missiles, are zero threat to the US. Do you really think they would conquer Europe, AND THEN cross an ocean to threaten us? We already have "distance," except now we have insisted on creating provocations right on Putin's border.

How is that creating "distance?"

Ukraine is a basket case, always has been. Saying it "might" rise to the level of, lol, Poland, just reinforces the fact that we have zero strategic interest there.

[“If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected.”
“Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near.”

“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”]

These are commonplace preparations known to even the most guileless trapper or hunter, let alone the conniving courtiers, nobles and rulers who were Sun Tzu’s discerning audience. Former NRO contributor John Derbyshire, an amateur sinologist by way of travel and marital bond, once cited a notable incident that paved the way for the end of China’s Age of Chivalry, which gave way to an Age of Total War.

[I would like to present some accounts of events that occurred while there was still an aesthetic consciousness with respect to the means of waging war. The famous Battle of Hongshui was fought in 638 BC during the Spring and Autumn period. After Duke Huan of Qi died, Duke Xiang of Song declared himself the leader of China’s city-states. Because the Song had defeated the state of Zheng, they ended up waging war with Cheng, the ruler of Chu, then a powerful state.

The Chu and Song forces faced off on either side of the Hongshui River. The Song army realized they were at a disadvantage when they saw how numerous their adversaries were. The Chu army began to ford the river. Mu Yi, one of the chief Song retainers, offered a suggestion: “Why not launch a surprise attack before they set up their camp?” But Duke Xiang demurred, replying, “A virtuous leader does not engage in such ungentlemanly behavior.” After the Chu forces crossed the river, they soundly defeated the Song. Duke Xiang was hit by an arrow, and later died from his injury. Subsequently the Chinese came to use the phrase Song Chu zhi ren (Song-Chu benevolence) to mean misplaced compassion. There is no mention of a similar situation in Chinese history thereafter. But it demonstrates that entering into a battle imbued with the spirit of fair play was once considered aesthetically pleasing.]

Sun Tzu’s exhortations may have been his way of trying to get his audience discard the niceties of chivalric warfare in favor of winning at all cost.

How do you show strength by saber rattling in place can't be defended?

Try addressing a few points. Or are you stupid as Speedy in Texas?

You're the MORON. Everything you and your fellow Zeepers have said about Ukraine has been wrong. And, the rest of us aren't forgetting that.
