I’m not sure, but i think the judge in the case of alex jones said that alex could not file for bankruptcy? If so, will they rule the same agaisnt Trump?

Yup he did:

“Judge rules Alex Jones can’t use bankruptcy”

It is awful that these tiny, hateful, jealous looters have the power steal Trump’s wealth. This evil drama is Atlas Shrugged come to life.

Unless I’m mistaken, a bond is held to ensure defendant shows up as directed for trial, etc. Which means that once said obligations are met, bond is returned in whole or part. If so, Trump Tower is an asset that prosecutors cannot screw with to depreciate it’s worth or value. I’m no lawyer but would appreciate being corrected if I’m wrong.

The bigger problem is his liquid cash. The state can take all of it as well as any income he receives over 35x minimum wage weekly. The state literally can force him into poverty.

“This is awful”

Maybe it’s a strategy. Lets, for the sake of make believe, say that later on a court finds the following. The State of NY used a bias prosecutor, ignored real evidence, and used a Bias judge, to politically attack someone. The imposed fines that were in clear violation of the 8th Amendment, for political purposes. Then those individuals, and the State of NY, then become responsible for DAMAGES. Now, if they take billions in real estate, destroy someone, and hurt them politically, ignoring the Constitution, and interfering in a Federal Election, as well as damaging a multi-state business (international) it becomes a Federal, NOT STATE jurisdictional problem.

NY could end up with damages well into the BILLIONS at a time when they may well be financially unable to pay that bill, without raiding the pension plan of NY State employees........

Wait until that disgusting pig AG finds out what it takes to run any of those properties. Payroll, maintenance costs, interactions with tenants. If she screws anything up Trump will own NYC.

Let her seize it - now the “refugees” will have a place to call home.

NY Attorney General Letitia James ran on charging Trump for any crimes she could find. This is what the people of New York voted for. Hope businesses flee the state.

I wonder though..... Letitia seizes the property. Runs it in to the ground. The whole lawsuit is thrown out on appeal. Trump gets the money from New Yawk and can buy the property back for pennies on the dollar.

A fun fantasy at least.

It’s barely the second half of March. This is all going to get far more out of hand as we approach November.

If she seizes Trump’s property, which I now imagine she will (because Trump is weighing his limited options and is very deftly maneuvering her toward this result), she adds substantial further proof of her epic, over-the-top stupidity.

I am ever the optimist. All of these measures from the left are evidence of deep and growing desperation. They are losing badly as the general election clock starts to wind down.

I’ve read there has never been a bond of the type he needs issued in this large an amount. Could very well be a conspiracy to him.

I don’t think there is much of a market for a property that was confiscated by a gubmint that has NO moral authority and is incompetent. Some think Trump is probably sentimentally attached to what he built and has has certainly taken great pride in.

I think Trump is a warrior. In war you sometime give up a little territory knowing you can use it as a trap. Obviously the best strategy for the Communists is for Trump to be forced to sell off the property at fire sale prices and break him. I’m not sure who lives and operates businesses out of Trump Tower. But they might be some powerful people who might not like the ensuing chaos of a gubmint confiscation.

I’m sure there is foreign money that might pay market value but that would be problematic in the big picture if say Soros or the Chinese purchased the property.

The Commies want Trump to hold a fire sale which is EXACTLY why Trump will NOT sell.

This is in uncharted territory.

And Trump has the brains and the balls.

The gubmint has NEITHER.

One major hit on New York that’s coming and I have not heard mentioned is ad valorem taxes.

These huge buildings worth hundreds of millions each pay lots and lots of taxes when times are good. But, as we’ve seen in other blue cities, when they become a recurring, major loss for private owners, they (the owners) just let them be foreclosed on by the government and write off the loss.

When the government owns them, there are no taxes collected and maintenance is HUGE.

Trump could then, if he chose, buy them back for pennies on the dollar.

This whole thing is just going to be a Disaster for the NYS AG’s office...

I don’t see any way, that Trump isn’t going to win on 8th Amendment grounds, to say the least, on a federal appeal.
