If Alito believes there’s a problem with the Texas law, then maybe there is actually a problem with it. He doesn’t usually go off half cocked, and he doesn’t seem to tolerate liberal nonsense.
The fact the Constitution specifically gives control of immigration to the President and Congress may be the issue, or Alito may believe there are other problems.
They’re NOT migrants.
They’re criminal, illegal, alien invaders.
.
I would think that after years of apathy from the right while all of this was happening, they have little concern over anyone saying “game on”.
It didn’t say anything about just shooting them on sight, did it?
Just be very strict on law-braking -shoplifting 1 year in jail-—crossing streets- vehicle codes- no id-etc-— go to sanctuary states. Free transportation.
Have the TNG and Texas State Guard face off against the feds.
Let's have a Constitutional crisis, right before the election and have Traitor Joe explain to the nation why Texas should not be allowed protect their sovereignty from an invasion force of tens of millions of illiterate, diseased savages, that hate the US.
Perhaps Pedo Joe will, then, explain how illegally admitting these Third World miscreants and putting them on welfare benefits the Republic.
At the very least, Alito should have reminded Americans that a President can be impeached and convicted if he does not "faithfully execute the laws."
This!!!
Let someone come enforce their ruling!
Exactly. Joe Biden brags all the time about how he defied the SCOTUS on student loan forgiveness.
The Supreme Court destroyed the Constitution and is now firmly wedded to the Deep State and its destruction of what remains.
What if they were bused to DC?
The state is the one that are hurting their residents. When that happens, it’s time to start picking them off…
Open to interpretation 😉
This is a federalist decision. It denies the states the ability to enforce federal law being ignored by the illegitimate POTUS. This is not anything a true conservative would do to the country.
The three branches of our government need pruning.
I never said otherwise.
What I do respect about SCOTUS rulings are they must be careful to not open doors that might infringe on our rights, for all of us. Just having a ‘suspicion’ isn’t enough - which is what I said. Of course, seeing somebody wade across the Rio Grande is beyond ‘suspicion’, the crime is witnessed by law enforcement. This isn’t what is being put into question though.
It all comes down to what is written exactly. If it is ‘somebody close to the border that speaks with an accent’, does that on its own rise to the level of ‘reasonable articulable suspicion’? I’d argue it doesn’t, which is what I’d think is the caution of the SCOTUS.
That said, we’re under an invasion - the military should be at the border. Giving police broad powers after the fact is dangerous but more severe government action should be stopping it in the first place.
Acceptable: Officers can smile, give them a foil wrapped Godiva chocolate, a fresh cut flower and a little booklet on tourist attractions nearby.
“And have a wonderful rest of your day.”
THIS. IF China Jo can ignore SCOTUS on student debt....then so can Texas on something far more important.
I don;t even have to look... Leftists will be having a large Circle Jerk over this.
Is SCOTUS afraid to go against the deep state?
Maybe they are thinking about supreme court justice Scalia…..
Never know what kind of pressure influences their decisions.
