Two, IF you're "bi" you can have same sex with no risk of pregnancy. I think this is the appeal to girls.
Third...and not to be overlooked: PORN.
Porn is driving a lot of this. Since the advent of the internet there is a constant availability of porn. It has sadly become "normalized".

I feel bad for people having to do these stories.
it is a “woke” trend among the young to say you are bi. To them it is the same as saying you love everyone. But nearly all of them only date the opposite sex even if they say they are bi.
When I was a kid, that was how you got your @$$ kicked.
