Not brilliance, simple electioneering mechanics. Any with half a brain could see that strategy, help the weak enemy to defeat the strong enemy.

New Mexico was pretty bad when I lived there. It’s worse now, I’m sure.

Yep, the usual....the GOP candidate wins the interior red counties and the Dem wins the L.A. area and the Bay Area/S.F. (Bay Area/L.A. have the most pop./(& questionable citizenship votes), so the Dem wins. Most of the Barbara Lee (572K votes) & Katie Porter (946K votes) votes will go to Schiff and he will take the win by a large margin in November.

The CA SOS office is showing “100% Reporting” for all counties:

Here is the map by county:

We really have to go back to paper.

These elections have gone full CCCP.

Yeah, but Orange County is in Garvey’s column...Hooray!!! That’s a turn around - hopefully as big as when it turned from Republican to Democrat a few years back..

“”Is there any country on earth that counts votes more slowly than does California?””

Well, it’s not a country...Lived there for 50 years and it was NEVER true years ago..We got results in the evening and it was done - no early voting, no IMPROVEMENT of the system that went before....who said improvement is GOOD?

“”NY used paper ballots, and had those large analogue machines with the lever for closing the curtain and priming the machine””

We were told about those in school but I have never in 70 years voted with a lever machine...started voting in NY State and then moved to CA and never did see those machines. I remember the large paper ballots marked with some sort of stamp, then the ballots that created “hanging chads”....

“A majority of Californians vote by mail because they want to. It’s popular.”

You know why it is so popular?
It is because most of us don’t like listening to Foaming at the mouth Democrats extolling the virtues of their Candidates while we wait in line to vote.

"The state is not Delaware sized and total votes are more than the population of over 30 states in a general election."

Then they should not permit mail-in ballots after a month before any election, furthermore they should begin counting those ballots at midnight of the beginning of election day.

There are no excuses in election management, any deviancy from best practices established in the last century (paper; record; optical not digital; limited absentee fulfilling mandated reason; extremely limited vote-by-mail; no same-day registration; no open primaries) is directed at fraud.

Yes, I agree 100%. Up until this election, vote counters were not allowed to open any mail in ballots until after the polls closed. There is a new law that now allows them to start counting 5 or so days before election day. Also, mail in ballots are accepted via mail through the Friday after the election.

It does not appear any county started counting early. I checked today and there is still just under 1 million ballots to count.

Plus, there are oddities. Kern County, home to 1 million, only has one vote counting machine. I don’t know how many registered voters there are in Kern, but why is this acceptable?

It appears the voters of CA just shrug their shoulders and make no demand vote counting is conducted in a better way.

Not really great news since there are 3 major democrat candidates, so in total votes, democrats are way in front.
