I find it hard to see me bashing Snow. I honestly liked him. While conservative, he was often a honest broker. When conservatives were mucking it up, he often called them out or made them explain themselves. A lot of people here weren’t fans. Maybe he missed a chance to swing and hit in one of those stupid moments. He of course changed once he joined the Bush White House as his job was to deflect rather than be forthright. And in general, attitudes here changed too because he was more dedicated to running shade for the WH. I was disappointed his online legacy here was scrubbed as he joined the WH. I don’t recall anything that would have hurt him other than his new job may have had him sypporting positions he hadn’t supported before. His cancer diagnosis hit hard. I seem to remember we had some discussions and he was more than gracious. Not a flamer like many in here. Too good of a guy and way too young. Again, way too good of a guy and way too young.

Thanks everyone, for the insightful responses( and some of the stupid ones) but let me try again. Could the governor put a stop to this by granting a pardon or a stay of execution or something.

I know idiot Hochul is probably gleeful about this happening to trump, (duh...) but if the truckers strike and other businessmen strike really start to cripple ny city, could there be a legal effort she could pursue (probably in a panic) to stop it?

Yes I’m pretty sure he does, but the state can play around with it as long as they want.

But my bigger question is could this judge be thrown off the bench and disbarred for such a clearly idiotic kangaroo court?

Most bonds of this size are from insurers. Supposedly, he has the cash to cover it. And his attorney stated he was prepared to do it. So I’m not quite sure what the concern is.

At that time, many didn’t see Snow as an effective conservative as he didn’t systematically shut down liberals on Fox News Sunday and would sometimes grill conservatives. Without context of the Edsel quote I don’t remember it.
