It sure as sh*t ain’t the Meatball that’s for sure.
Someone will come out of nowhere and that person Republican, or Democrat, Independent will be whom I vote for. American values is what will get my vote.
That being said…

BS. Trump listed DeSantis on his short list. While he was in South Carolina stumping for an Article V convention, DeSantis was asked about that. He said he had no interest. He reiterated that on a thank you call to his delegate candidates today. He believes he’s more effective as governor than VP.
How is he not being a team player? He’s given Trump his endorsement (as every Republican candidate but one pledged to do.)
Trump cannot and will not end DeSantis’s career. He is term limited but will remain in the public eye in some form. An he carried red counties in 2022 by larger margins than Trump had, and carried blue counties like Dade & Palm Beach, whihc Trump had lost. He has a big following, probably bigger than any Republican other than Trump.
He reminds me of Reagan in 1976.

History tells us that many nominees do not get the nomination the very first time they run in presidential primaries. Reagan lost to Ford in 1976. Bush lost to Reagan in 1980. Dole lost to Bush in 1988. McCain lost to Bush the younger in 2000. Romney lost to McCain in 2008.

He put out a bunch of names with Laura Ingraham last night. DeSantis was one, Ramaswamy was another, Noem was on it, and a few other names.

DeSantis, not you. This is like the 3rd time he has come out against being VP for Trump when nobody even asked and he keeps on passive-aggressive sniping at Trump post-drop out. He should have just taken the little boost that Ingraham gave him last night and been happy. But no, he has keep sniping.

Nobody with a brain is claiming that President Trump ended Duh-Saintis’s career ... Duh-Saintis and his Harvard educated brain has done that deed all on his own. Duh-Saintis is owned ... he will NEVER be a free agent. Having that Harvard law degree was the thing that made Duh-Saintis supposedly ‘special’ ... ha ha ha

Trump could change his residence back to Manhattan or to Bedminster if he wanted to pick DeSantis or Byron Donalds, who was also on the short list. Remember, Cheney was living in Texas when Bush picked him, so he changed his residence back to Wyoming.

Did Trump say he [DeSantis] was on short list? NO he did NOT. People here that keep asserting this need to provide a direct quote from Trump saying this. I haven't seen one yet.
