“I used to be a generous tipper. Then Facebook started in with shaming customers to tip.
I stopped eating out.”
Hubby and I ate out once last year. It was at a little diner in a small town nearby (We don’t do fast-food joints) and the total bill with tip was about $40.
I cook a meal at home each night and make sure it is enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. It is healthier, tastier, and saves lots of money. Last night I cooked a meatloaf in a 8 in iron skillet, and fixed creamed potatoes and black-eyed peas. Delicious meal for two with enough to finish off today for lunch. All for less than $15.00.
Learning to cook is easy and fun if you take the time to do it. I have cookbooks handed down from my mother and grandmother but with the internet you can easily find recipes with five or so ingredients that are simple to prepare and take little time. It is crazy to spend $75 or so for two people to eat out when that much money can be used to provide at home meals for two or three days.
I agree.
I just heard about that $5.00 charge! It has not been implemented by Door Dash from what I understand.
