We’re getting out asses kicked. The New York judge blew away Trump’s defense, Rudy’s getting double wammied and Colorado just took Trump off the ballot.
Meanwhile I’m supposed to get a woody when Senator John Kennedy drawls some home-spun red meat at a hearing that does nothing.

The intention here is to give ammo to DeSantos and Haleytosis to say “Republicans must not run a candidate who cannot even compete in 50 states”
This is big-money, ham-handed, uniparty crap, and is simply going to continue raising people’s hackles and make them wonder about how crooked pols and judges were dealt with in America’s early history.

Colorado can make its own decision The court has no jurisdiction regarding what person a private corporation (the Republican party) decides to put at its helm - just as it has no right to dictate who leads Tesla or GM.
To: cowboyusa
A state decides how to handle its elections, but if he’s not even charged, much more convicted, of insurrection, it’s not legal to keep him off the ballot.

When did Trump get convicted of insurrection?
They’re working on it.

Colorado can make its own decision. There is no such thing as a federal election. There are 50 state elections. It's violating his civil rights (conviction without trial) and that *IS* a Federal issue.
They are gonna get spanked by the US Supreme court, or possibly a court of appeals, and so I very much doubt this idiot decision is going to stand.

I don’t see how they can remove him for a crime of which he has not been found guilty.

That totally figures. This place sucks. I mean, the mountains, trees, streams, wildlife, etc, are great. But I will gladly give them up for FREEDOM. Same problem with California. The beauty attracts nuts, and nuts ruin everything.

The state GOP can select its delegates by caucus, the candidates for which are not subject to judicial review. It can also nominate an unpledged slate of electors. Correct
I will be leading my caucus - and the bastards on the court can kiss my lily white ass....

“It’ll be overturned by SCOTUS.”
It better be unanimous!

foolish move. They not only now force the SCOTUS to get involved - but let’s just say for whatever insane reason the SCOTUS allows this, what is the outcome? Now there would be a dramatically increased risk that JFK Jr wins the state getting the Democrat votes he is going to get plus all the Republicans who would have otherwise voted for Trump. That could very easily cost the Democrats all the electoral votes from a state they were almost certain to win. That would be an utter disaster for them.

Trump has not been found guilty of insurrection in a court of law.
