I have always believed that air fares should be based on total weight of passenger and luggage.o
If this encourages the morbid obese to fly it’s going to impact cargo capacity and fuel consumption. And tough on the ailerons as they extend for the entire flight to keep the plane from listing.
Should make them ride in cargo planes the smell would be better for the rest.
Get all the fat asses on Southwest, great idea. Just think how light and fast Sun Country’s flights will be. Win win.
Just so everyone understands, the “reserved” seating isn’t for the “passenger of size”; it’s for all the other passengers who are spared being squeezed in next to them.
Too far forward (and out of MAC tolerance) and the pilot on takeoff is unlikely to get the nose gear off the ground - or if he does, he will be unable to climb. Enjoy your flight under that Interstate overpass! Too far aft and when the pilot lifts the nose gear off on takeoff the nose will continue to rise ... and rise ... and rise .... until *Stall* and *SPLAT*!
They stopped serving peanuts.
The airlines have done everything they can d=to make flying more like spending time in a sardine can. Fat and tall people have it rough. But there is no reason to give free seats to anyone.
That would be called a bus 'cause it ain't getting in the air.
The airplanes will tilt from the fat people being grouped together.
Southwest Airlines celebrated for policy to give a full row to “passengers of size” for free
