A number of statements in this thread are either debunked by this info, or continue to puzzle ... the occupants are not Canadians entering the U.S. as some suggested (I recognized the satirical reference to our famous mackenzie brothers), nor were they Canadians returning to Canada, nor could they have been directed to secondary inspection (the video clearly shows they were not leaving primary inspection but were just entering the general area at an unexplained high rate of speed) — in fact, there is nothing in the video to suggest their intention was to cross the border, they were travelling at right angles to the road leading to the border crossing. All signs point to a medical emergency as the best guess as to what happened. A secondary theory is that the driver was agitated by events (either the concert cancellation or at the casino) and this caused the high rate of speed observed. There again, since the concert was cancelled (it was to be held in Toronto) why cross the border? If it was just to follow through on pre-existing hotel reservations and visit anyway, why approach the border at 100 mph? It’s only a two hour drive to Toronto from there.

I would imagine that they were able to get the VIN from the wreck. That with some record checking would tell who was involved. How it came to happen is still unknown, but if the occupants have no history of any terrorist-related activities then there isn’t much more to be told.
