It might not even be necessary to take out the oil export infrastructure. Take out the refineries* and refined products import infrastructure, and shortly Iran has no fuel. However, Israel might be hard pressed to do that via their air force, due to the distance. So, Israel might have to rely on long range drones and rockets, where Iran has the advantage. OTOH, Iran has little defense, and Israel’s Iron Dome will intercept at least some Iranian rockets, IF Israel has the interceptors.

Some opposition Iranians say “take out the Iranian Republican Guard bases” and their citizenry will revolt.

*Graham is halfway** right on this, but for the US to do it, politically, it almost has to be either because Israel is being hit hard, or, a very direct connection to Iran to last weekend’s horror can be shown. Ie., more than Hamas as a proxy.

**The other consideration is that taking out Iran’s oil exports would drive up oil prices considerably. The US could probably impose price ceilings and export restrictions here — we’d be hurting but ok. The Chinese would be hurt badly and other countries as badly too. Europe would be an absolute mess. In poor countries, some people would die. :-(

Sadly, I agree. I completely lumped ALL the intelligence agencies (including the military ones) into that group of compromised entities.

When viewed in that light, there is no doubt in my mind, none whatsoever, that the campaign against General Michael Flynn was contrived and executed by the Left, including the Deep State, which by definition, includes many in the Republican Party.

I am also very much concerned that the collective leadership, seeing Biden's numbers sliding not just past the margin of even industrial scale vote fraud, but to the point that the whole Democrat brand is endangered, will try to reverse that slide, by doing something as large in scale, as it is unwise, and extreme.
