Interesting gamble.
No quarter and no mercy considering what these animal savages are and have done. Level it.
There is simply no way that Israel is going to back down on this. First, Saturday was the single most deadly day for Jews since the Holocaust, and it’s all over the Internet. If Netanyahu backs down without destroying Hamas once and for all, he is dead politically and people will spit when they mention his name for the rest of time. There is no way that he will allow this to go in avenged, nor will he allow it to happen again. In addition, most people don’t understand how massive this mobilization is. I have heard the figure of 300,000 several times, and now hear up to 400,000. That is roughly the equivalent of the United States mobilizing between 15 and 20 million men. They disruption to their economy just to call them up and send them back the next day would be immense, and they are certainly going to be gone for more than one day. Nothing like this is done for a light or flippant reason.
I personally believe that not only is Hamas going to cease to exist, but so is Hezbollah. As an aside, I have a nephew who lives about 1 mile from the border with Lebanon. The last several conversations with him have been with him in his building’s bomb shelter, along with all of the other residents. The entire north is about to be evacuated, and that’s another thing that Israel is not doing for no reason. Hezbollah has been sending quite a number of rockets into northern Israel, and the Israelis have already sent a fair number of Apache helicopters to respond. Once Hamas has been dealt with, it is a relatively easy matter to send the vast majority of that force north to deal with that particular set of murdering bastards.
Israel needs to "never again" today and will see to it that this demonic slaughter of innocents is punished and destroyed to prevent any such further atrocity.
The world will soon start talking about a disproportionate response and will turn against Israel who will not listen.
The world will unite against Israel in just a few days. Already there is backpedaling.
Uh…no thanks!
Who is at the top of the pyramid that made the decision to proceed with the attack on Israel? What person or group had the authority to order the attack?
They are the enemy that must be defeated. If they remain, the threat remains.
Who stands to gain from this attack and the predictable response from Israel? Who ultimately gains?
We will never be allowed to know the answer to these questions.
Every member of Hamas dead. Nothing else. No survivors of Hamas.
And yes, I would lay siege to Gaza until it happened.
Yes; what does it cost them to promise anything at all? Taqqiya, y’know.
