That poor guy...talk about the wrong place at the wrong time. What was the big orange thing that came toward the camera, ricocheted off the camera wall and hit him?

Yep, those Tesla prices listed are for Chinese market with cars made in China.

Just what we need, remote-detonated Chinese truck bombs across the US!

A lightweight micro car slicing it up with American pickups and SUVs. And somehow, I doubt it will be sold for 11,400 in America or pass the massive DOT safety rules. Correct. Elon Musk has lamented about the difficulties in meeting DOT rules to sell in the USA. Those Chinese mini-cars will not pass safety-crash tests or have any of the required safety devices built-in, without doubling their costs.

Throwaway cars. Probably fine for inner city commuters/runabouts if they don’t mind spending a small fortune on electricity and have a place to park and charge them away from buildings. Throwaway is correct. Videos have circulated for years about Chinese cars falling apart within a year of purchase. Bad rubber and plastics, mechanical breakdowns, etc. - within a year and often in months.

Those, for the uninitiated, are cheaper and safer than the lithium batteries EVERYONE else uses, even Tesla. Cheaper batteries means more affordable. Tesla can't have too many of the unwashed driving their brand and wrecking their wealthy driver image.
