“Johnson has been, infinitely, more accurate than any of your sources. This tactic is is typical of someone that can’t defend their position — attack the source rather the information presented by the source.”

Nice try, kid. Larry Johnson has a track record of being wrong, including his claim — shortly before the 9/11 attacks — that America had nothing to fear from Bin Laden and al-Queda. You find him “credible” because you share his agenda.

“Ukraine isn’t getting an inch of territory back. This after you and your ilk hyped the failed counteroffensive for months.”

Again; nice try, kid. I have never “hyped” the Ukrainian counteroffensive. My posting history is there for all to see: So, please provide a link to my “hypes” of that counteroffensive. Or admit you are a liar and are just talking out of your butt.

“Almost every prediction YOU and YOUR sources has been wrong.”

The only prediction I have made is that Russia will likely win the war but lose the peace, and I’ve been saying that since at least March, 2022. And since the war is still ongoing, it’s rather presumptuous of you to draw any conclusion to my prediction. So, again; you are just talking out of your butt.

“I intend to hold you account when this war ends with Russia possessing all the territory it has annexed.”

Yeah? And how are you going to do that, Sparky?

“That is a lot of NATO years during those careers.”

NATO since ‘49 so only my dad and granddad. Korea and Vietnam were UN.

Yes a lot of NATO years in those careers, what was that about the UN and Vietnam?

Korea was under UN pretext, I know because I’ve been to the JSA.
Vietnam claims some UN involvement on paper at least, the French preceded us.
Neither were NATO action as far as I know.

Everyone knows that Korea was a UN operation but what is this about Vietnam being one?

Why do you even bring up Korea and Vietnam? Your family is bound to have served as part of NATO with all those careers

I don’t get your point then. NATO has only been around since ‘49, so only my dad and granddad did service in that time frame.

During their careers, they must have spent some time as part of NATO, and Vietnam was not a United Nations War.

“During their careers, they must have spent some time as part of NATO”
Yes of course.

“and Vietnam was not a United Nations War.”
Ok/IDK… it certainly wasn’t a NATO action, nor was it a war technically.

I still don’t get your point. We agree that most everyone who served after 49 was associated with a NATO action. What am I missing?

I thought this was simple when I made that first post but your posts and their wording just get more confusing, Vietnam, Korea, the UN, NATO “Action”.

What do you mean by NATO actions? How does that wording get into this?

Did your family ever serve in Europe since WWII?

Yes of course. In the 60s as a kid I lived on a US Army base in Germany, my dad was stationed there. And my grandfather, also regular Army, was stationed in England in the 40-50s.

While we were overseas (in Europe) the US army conducted exercises with other NATO armies. What is your confusion with NATO?

Again, what is your point?

So they were in NATO, a part of NATO, lots of years of it in those careers.

Did you carry on that perfect “unbroken line of career officers going back to the Revolutionary War”?

Lol, Yes of course, the USA is a member state of NATO. Did you think that fact was under contention? Most of my dads career, and a portion on my granddads, were after the USA was a member of NATO. Why do find that remarkable? What is the assertion you wish to make that you think I am at odds with? Spit it out!

I did not serve in uniform.

So the perfect string is broken of father to son, father to son, father to son, since the Revolutionary War?

Long-range missiles, and American tanks. Both should not be used by us. Ever. In Ukraine.

Further: Long-range missiles, and Russian tanks. Neither should be used by them. Ever. In Ukraine.

You are confusing "NATO" with "UN."

NATO never had any "actions" in Korea or Vietnam - both countries are "Out Of Area" according to the treaty.

I believe if we (America) push Russia too hard, they will push back. Just my opinion. I don’t know, am not there, and have no inside information. But I think both sides should climb down.

You are like the guy who is awakened in the middle of the night by a violent rape taking place outside his bedroom window. He thinks, "If I offer any assistance, the rapist might push back. Both sides should simply stand down."

Excellent advice!

Amoral people abound these days. They are the vast majority, even on Free Republic. What’s good-for-them is “good”. What’s bad-for-them is “bad”. Amoral. Their moral compass always points to themselves.

It’s like the days of Noah or Lot. The signs are everywhere. As soon as I can retire I’m getting far, far away from these types of people. Probably a moderate Muslim country. They know how to deal with nefarious individuals who corrupt public morality for self advancement.

I don’t agree.

I think Ukraine is a part of Russia. I know not everyone agrees with that, but that is my unprofessional, mìddle of the road, honest opinion.

I am just a guy.

But I seriously think it time for everyone, everyone, in every country, to say “ok, everybody stop. Right here. Just stop.”

It is time to stop fighting.

Are you for real?

You're like some guy who wanders in from the street, and is observing a brain operation already in progress, and who casually comments, "I'm just a guy, but I think that the surgeon should just screw the skull back into place and end the operation now!"

Why bother offering an opinion if it is based on nothing?

Unless you can provide a coherent argument based upon generally known historical facts, or can cite verifiable facts, and build a logical argument out of them, you have no business coming here and wasting bandwidth.

You are (deliberately?) diluting the conversation.

Why do you "think that Ukraine is part of Russia?"

What historical circumstances, international treaties, etc. can you cite to support your P.O.V.?

"will go down as the most shameful foreign policy event in the history of the United States."

It's going to go down as the greatest heist in the history of mankind.!

We've been skinned like squirrels, and don't seem to have sense enough to know it... :(
