I mean from textiles (polyesters are from fossil fuels, cotton is picked by machines using fossil fuels and transportation to the factory and to the stores, do they use horse and buggies?), to the ink on their signs, to plastic in their computers and cell phones...

I expect it will turn ugly quickly, not necessarily due to the climate marchers themselves. Crowded public venue, ritzy NYC neighborhood, no public safety to speak of.

Someone will see something they want in a shop window, and it'll be on. Looting burning the lot. And the organizers will say outside agitators and they will be right, though not quite the way they think of outside agitators.

The real issue is whether a peaceful protest is even possible under current NYC conditions, and never mind what the organizers say the issue is.

Also bear in mind, they are marching for more of what the government is already doing.
