I am sad to see that the surgeon general of Florida is bowing to pressure from Desantis to put forth recommendations that are not in line with the national recommendations. Since people who work in state health departments are as qualified and educated as those who work in federal health departments, this advocacy of Desantis opinion rather than the science community recommendations is puzzling. No scientific advisor should ever bow down to political pressure.
Whenever I supplied scientific information to high level political leaders, I provided the most accurate information possible. Political leanings were never a factor in the information I provided.

And especially A-OK if those over 65 and on Social Security are in nursing homes, because we all know how A-OK nursing homes are for those over 65.

Only...it’s not DeSantis making this recommendation. It’s the Florida surgeon general making this recommendation. DeSantis is merely relying on that expertise and on common sense and the powers of observation re: all of the adverse reactions that these vaccines have already caused among young and healthy individuals.
Taking the damned mRNA vaccine is NOT a good or necessary option for anyone with a healthy immune system.... unlike what the lying CDC is pushing now. Anyone over 65 should, by now, have enough wisdom to decide for themselves if they want or need the vaccine.

Satire is fine, but whatever “this” is happens to be just plain ole stupid. It has been standard scientific “advice” from the beginning of the Covid pandemic that those over 65 that may have other health issues and that may be most ‘at risk’ are the ones that might consider getting the vaccine. To now make this all about another lameazz excuse to bash DeSantis is just more of the same asinine rhetoric. Pushing the jab is what radical leftists do. Don’t be a radical leftist.

I am also over 65, a “pureblood”, and in ‘somewhat’ good health (haven’t been to a doctor for anything serious for over three decades now).
It is the same ‘advice’ that was given at the very beginning of the pandemic. It is the same BS, but the Florida surgeon general, Ladapo, may be thinking that it’s the lesser of evils vs. what the CDC is pushing.... ie having babies and everyone else take the poison shot. I can see where he’s coming from... so I don’t take it personally.
