Happy -00, and not too bad, thanks. Jake was around for a while, being emotionally needy. It was drizzling a little when I got up, so I didn’t go for my outdoor walk. Now that DP has arisen, I’ll go to Walmart.

The washing part of the laundry is done, and all that’s left is hanging stuff to dry. It shouldn’t take too long at all in this climate, but I’m going to take a nap because just that little bit of laundry made my back scream at me.

The hard part is done! If I had room in the kitchen, I could hang some of the clothes in there and open the back door. Maybe next time! It’s supposed to be 103° today!! *happy dance*

It’s so nice to wear short-sleeved shirts and be WARM again!! ;o])

Good morning. Happy Monday.

Just last week we were driving the Princess down to have her procedure. Today we have to convince her she needs to remain calm for another week. At least she hasn’t had a seizure during this period.

F-I-L decided to take down a nice shrub in his back yard, “because he wanted to.” Now he wants someone to help him get his chain saw running so he can finish the job. The man needs a new hobby. That was actually a nice shrub.

A 4 for the Wordle today. I just can’t seem to get my score back up.

Wordle 800 4/6*

Good Monday Morning!

Even though the forecasts yesterday morning told us that we had about a 20% chance of getting 0.05” of rain, we hit the jackpot and got 1.60” of the wet stuff!

Also brought in some lower highs (not triple digits) for the upcoming week...

Staying with a three spot on the Wordle front...

Wordle 800 3/6*

The Princess Dog has probably forgotten all about her procedure, so she doesn’t realize she has to be any different, bless her little doggie heart! And yes, it IS good about no seizures since then.

I’m sorry to hear about your F-i-L. That’s a little like herding cats, isn’t it, trying to keep him out of mischief?

And at least you didn’t get an X/6 today! It’s been a long time since any of us has had of those, I think.

I’ll do the Wordle in a bit. I mean, at #800, it’s the least I can do!

I’m waiting for this afternoon so I can just go out into the back yard and stand in the shade while the heat soaks into my bones!

The Envirothon group is going to the Duke Power plant on the other side of Charlotte. Vlad is going to try to hook up his phone to the radio in the van, so we can listen to weird music.

I read that last as, “so we can listen to wired music.”

Just had an upsetting text from my FS. Again.

The clothes are hanging in various doorways, and I turned the cooler on to “Fan Only” so the air will circulate in here and dry the clothes faster.

Now I need to decide what it is I’m going to do today. Kitchen? Bedroom? Bookcases?

Happy Monday Wordle Players!

Welp. I did the same thing today that I did the last two days, but decided that it couldn’t possibly happen a third time in a row, so I second-guessed me and got a Triplet. Dang me.

The music was weird. Try not to be upset. He’s doing it on purpose to deflect from his guilt. “Primitive ego defenses” on display.

Chuck loaned me his cart/hand-truck and I managed to schlep a bunch of empty boxes to the dumpster. Yay, me! And my back hurt on the way back.

I’m finally covered by health insurance so the doo-doo head at Lin’s pharmacy can’t give me a ration of BS about the cost of my prescriptions. GAH!!

My clothes are mostly dry, except for the jeans, which will have to be turned over to finish drying. And Chuck will be in tomorrow to fix the shower, so yay on that one, too.

And I’m fighting the peeps about the TV/interwebs, and I think I’m going to win. I was talking with one guy at a different company, and he was making no sense at all, in any way, shape or form, and I just said, “Let me get back to you on this!” and I hung up. :this is me, tearing my hair out:

So this has been a strange day, absolutely, with my Not-So-Favorite-Son playing a big part in it. I think he’s been taking lessons from his Oh-So-Perfect-Wife.

But it was warm and dry and I spent several minutes outside in the sun, soaking it up!

So I need to put some things away, and then, I’ll probably call it quits and listen to the wind chimes singing.

I’m glad it was warm and dry, and I hope your son will mind his own business.

Things are moving along. I know it seems slow, but it’s much better than the last time!

We had rain again. I need to take a shower.

The power plant was really interesting. We couldn’t actually go in the nuclear plant, of course, but there was a video about it, and one of the employees explained how it all works, and then another one told us about their solar and other new programs. We’re going to the solar farm in October, I think.

Well, if my son doesn’t mind his own business, he’ll just get ignored. I’m good at that!

Yes, I did manage to get some boxes emptied today, and I’ve decided that things will get put into other boxes and I’ll ask someone else to dispose of them, since I have no car to do it myself. I’ll just beg, and if that doesn’t work then I’ll nag!

I’d love to see the power plant. There are HUGH solar farms outside of Las Vegas, and they are really blinding at certain times of the day/year. Makes one not really want to drive by there.

At any rate, I think this is where I call it quits for one more day. Some books actually made it onto some shelves today, and golly, they look nice!! For a change, anyway. Pictures later!

Have a good night!

I hope you have a good night, too. I’ll be back to working on books tomorrow. We may even be able to give away a bookcase!
