Interesting, no?

Ah, but this is the UK. Would never happen over in the good ole USA.

Will be interesting to see what he says this evening - about 1:00 CST.

... a few years ago the European Union came up with a definition of somebody called a 'PEP' -a 'politically exposed person'.

So the value of changing a definition - by our overlords - is seen to be very valuable by them.

And the difference between the EU governance and the CCP is ... nothing?

It happened in Canada with the peaceful protest truckers. Justin and his evil henchwoman Christia shut down their bank accounts.

UK …hell.

How about much of Western Europe? Anyone watching the riots all over France now? Burning, destruction on a massive scale. The 3rd world immigrants are revolting and they don’t even have a majority yet.

Future is not looking good for Western Civ right now.

Western Civ ended with WWI.

I'll probably look into Old Glory Bank this year. May be an option for Nigel as well. I understand he already knows this, but he should stay far, far away from the big banks.

Have you seen this yet?

Look at the countries. I guess the need is now to spoil the place.

Zlr3ady is happening in a way here. Banks refusing to work with folks who “support or buy from the wrong candidates or companies” (ie those who buy guns were being denied service and let go evidently)

The UK might want to get out from under the EU.

I think there is some truth to that. The dumbest war ever, it started the rot.

“To my knowledge, I don’t think anybody has been treated like me in the world of politics.”

Hey Farage....does the name “Tommy Robinson” ring a bell? You stood by and let it happen to him. While Tommy was raising the red flag about ‘child grooming’ and rape gangs, predominantly Pakistani Muslims, you said nothing when his bank accounts were closed. You could have when you had the power to do something. You were too scared to be labeled ‘racist’. What goes around...

...reminds me of; when they came for the Jews I said nothing because I wasn’t a Jew...

Red China does not keep up even a pretense of freedom. It is admittedly an authoritarian state. The EU and Britain publicly claim to be free democratic countries. But unspoken is the fact that anyone who strays outside the Overton Window of acceptable opinions is deemed an outlaw.

One advantage we have in America is that there are 4,000 banks and hundreds of credit unions. The national franchises may impose social credit scores but a customer can merely go down the street to a locally owned bank or credit union. That is much tougher in Canada, for example, because six national financial institutions control over 90% of deposits.

“The violent unrest in France kicked off after a 17-year-old driver was shot and killed by a police officer during a traffic check in the northwestern Paris suburb Nanterre on Tuesday morning. The officer has been detained on suspicion of voluntary homicide amid an ongoing investigation into the incident, according to the local prosecutor’s office.”

It’s 600, not 100 arrested.

Wonderful! The people in U.K. are getting what they prayed and voted for. They are reaping what they sowed. They should be dancing in the streets.

Soon the people of the U.S. of A. will be able to experience the same joy those in the U.K. are feeling. It can't happen soon enough.

Same here in the US too. Banking Secrecy Act, USAPATRIOT Act, all of the anti-money laundering stuff has essentially turned your bank teller into an agent of the US government.

Remember how we used to laugh at the number of East Germans working directly for or were networked with the STASI? About 30% of the population IIRC.

Any federally regulated institution that handles money or stuff close to money (like stocks) is spying on you. By law they are required to. The party of small government did that in 2002.

Q: don’t all banks and credit unions comply with the FDIC? Nigel said the PEP label came from the government and forced upon the banks through fees. Our government could do the same.
