I’d strongly consider moving out of state to say Idaho if you are a conservative, or NJ if you are a blue-belly.

I’ve changed carriers twice because my current carriers raised rates at renewal time. Each time I got a significantly lower quote from a competitor. Clark Howard (is he still on the air?) said that insurance companies put out lower prices to pick up new customers and then let the rates creep up for existing customers.

Then the simple solution would be to change carriers every 3 or 4 years. I would have no problem doing that.
