Harvard unfortunately renamed the Harvard Graduate School Arts and Sciences the Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences!!!!

I am a PhD graduate of the Harvard GSAS—the central graduate school of Harvard. I strongly object to naming GSAS after a rich donor!!!! That has NOTHING to do with Griffin’s politics, unfortunate as they are.

I graduated from the Harvard GSAS—it was not named for a rich donor then. Why should it be named for one now? Are Harvard graduate degrees that much cheapened?

I would have no objection to having four or so Griffin professorships at Harvard, as is traditional. Make them professorships in natural sciences, economics, and/or humanities—NOT ethnic studies!!!! Ethnic studies are bogus, as is the incoming Harvard president, a “black studies” “PhD”!!!!
