Trump gets credit for SCOTUS.

His last two picks have ruled with the leftists on many issues. His first pick gets most things right.

Congrats to the court for some clear thinking. ‘bout time the Clean Waters Act got a better, narrowed definition.

Unanimous in Sackett is not enough. Instead SCOTUS should have added the following:

"If the EPA and/or Corps of Engineers and/or any other Federal entity, has a case brought before SCOTUS, and loses on the basis of the new test established in Sackett, every Federal employee who signed off on any part of that Federal lawfare shall be reduced two grades of the General Schedule (GS), which shall not be appealable."
Congress could pass a law eliminating the EPA and this Federal lawfare will continue unabated.

You want to stop this lawfare evil permanently, you hit them in the wallet, you do unto them as they would do unto you.

“I like them both - Thank You, Trump!!!!”
What does Trump have to do with it. Am I understanding that the rulings were unanimous? Even the leftist’s agreed.

We would not have got those rulings without the Trump picks. No Way. The whole makeup of the court would be different.

You would have a hard time backing that up.

Both of those are good and very important rulings.

In WA State the courts have held that a road drainage ditch, if it has the “correct” type of soils and plants can be considered a wetland and the wetland buffer zones will apply to it. This should stop that kind of nonsense where a piece of land became a wetland just because the county put a drainage ditch beside the road.

The second ruling on confiscating excess monies is just basic equity and fairness.

I’m gladdened to hear that you will vote for President Trump in the general election if he is the nominee.
As far as an enduring legacy, have you considered the sheer number of turn-coat, backstabbers that have lurked for years in the Republican Party who have now revealed themselves?
I won’t mention any initials.
Juan McCain, Willard, Little Mitt Sasse, The Crying Kinzinger, The Wicked Witch of Wyoming and don’t forget the Jorges and their spawn. An incomplete list, I’ll admit. How large is the real number? Hundreds?Thousands?
I’ve long said that one of the greatest services Donald Trump has done for the Republic has been driving these pests out of hiding.

Of course, it is impossible to prove hypotheticals.

Agree. It seems like K has been thoroughly spooked by the nomination beatdown. He lives in a neighborhood surrounded by angry leftists and the US-AG permitted angry leftists to threaten his life during the abortion protests.

“To extend her metaphor, just because a private home is “adjacent” to a public school doesn’t mean that the school is permitted to exercise control over the homeowner’s property and (for example) cut down their trees or hold football team drills in their back yard. The mere presence of something “adjacent” must never imply “control”.”

Repeating because it is such a great analogy!

That’s kind of like giving credit to the exterminator for shining a bright light to force the cockroaches to scramble — and then leaving the house without exterminating the cockroaches

The courts - excellent appointments, and McConnell gets credit for shepherding those choices, especially the selection of Amy Coney Barrett to replace Ginsberg under controversial circumstances. McConnell did what so few Republicans do — he completely screwed over the Democrats. Remember how McConnell blocked Obama’s attempt at an 11th hour attempt to replace Scalia (who probably was murdered)

But the tax cuts? it was more tax reform than real cuts. A lot of harm was done, things like creating severe caps on the level of deductions allowed for property taxes and home mortgage interest payments.

The Wall? incomplete. That’s like saying you should get full praise and credit for answering half the questions on a test.

It’s really the federal court appointments that are the enduring positive legacy of President Trump.

Trump’s court appointments were for the most part excellent and will probably serve as the last defense against the coming darkness, unless a Republican wins in 2024.

Unanimous on the ‘takings’ ruling, but 5-4 on the water rights ruling.

Either way, you vote for Trump in November, and you’re good in my book! (not that it probably matters much to you)

The EPA will just find another angle to end-run the SCOTUS.

Yep, they will either ignore the law or just use scare tactics to force peoples hands. In the Sackett case it took 15 years to finally close. 15 YEARS! The EPA should be made to pay for all court costs and loss of value. But they won't be held liable. They need to be shut down like most parasite agencies.

i have to agree, seems like there is still a lot of room for abuse and wiggling by EPA and the Corpse of Engineers.

I think the word to be used is PERMANENT and not permeable? I’m not smart enough to understand if the word really is permeable.

If “relatively PERMANENT” does that mean the only when it rains a lot creek that runs into another similar creek that runs into a mostly but not always permanent creek that eventually becomes a permanent creek that runs into the Arkansas River that is a navigable waterway and the low ground adjacent to my creek that gets soggy when it is really a wet season is NOW NOT A WETLAND and never has been?

I must say, I don’t have confidence that I am to be left alone by the feral gooberment gendarmes.

If we don’t get rid of dems holding the WH before Thomas and Alito retire or die, the future for the Constitution does not look good. Opinions like this make the dems even more desperate to take over SCOTUS.

“Navigable waters” translates to a maritime vessel with citizens and/or shipment aboard. “Connected” is even more indicative that random puddles, brooks, ponds or a swamp is not a qualifier.
