As Chicago prepares for the 2024 Democratic convention, Mayor Brandon Johnson will face questions about how much he can and should spend to get the cash-strapped city ready, and whether spending tens of millions of dollars makes sense. Johnson is fresh off his inauguration and his administration has so far declined to comment on any plans. Welding shut the apartment doors of the troublemakers (like China did for Covid) for the duration of the Demonrats' convention should work.
