As usual, click bait over “five million, a hundred million” - whatever.
Once the battle over principle is lost, we will descend into perpetual civil unrest.
After the first ONE DOLLAR is paid, justified by “whites owe blacks for making them how they are”, every election, every session of Congress, every city council meeting will be about the need for justice (Meaning, “more”), and, as usual, the pathetic GOP will frame the argument over practicalities like, “We can’t afford $100 million, how about five million to start?”
The only viable position is, “white people don’t owe you a dime”.
Only a cretin would think this is doable; just where would this amount of money come from?? Half the stores in downtown SFO have already closed, so there is no sales tax. No one works downtown so there is much less in the way of taxes from the restaurants. And many sensible people, of whom there are a few in SfO, have moved out of the city and telecommute. Not that I could care less if there is a dime for this ridiculous scheme and schemers.

I absolutely don’t understand why the reparations push makes the news unless it’s what you say. If that’s the underlying reason it speaks poorly for the blacks.
Another thing: I read that California never had slaves.

Well, since you mentioned it…I’m of Hungarian descent. And the Ottoman Turks were very nasty to my ancestors. I have written the Turkish embassy, and demanded reparations. I have also written the UN. No response.
Perhaps Biden could quit sniffing young girls for a moment, and look into this.
