Best post I’ve seen on FR in at least a year! I say that because I quite often allude to the lamentable fact that there are tens of millions of eligible voters in this country who’s stupidity will very likely be the cause of their own destruction!
The problem with stupid people is they are not aware that they are stupid.
Called the Dunning-Krueger effect, it is a real thing. Perhaps stupid people could wear a sign or something.

Anyone who wants to see people who very accurately exemplify the Dunning-Kruger effect can watch the elected politicians who are the current leaders of our Kakistocracy! PATHETIC! I’ll be surprised if these people don’t bring about our destruction before Trump gets the chance to win his third consecutive Presidential election!
stupidity is successful when it is coupled with violence. The left and their control over the education system has achieved their goal. Inject mental illness and the transgender religion and you have an army to back it all up. We are at war and we are still in denial

Have to disagree with that one. History is crammed full of examples of how evil has been curtailed. And it could be curtailed here if voters elected only politicians who would demand the return of law and order, the expeditious sentencing of capital punishment, the elimination of country-club prisons, and long prison sentences with no parole possibility.
Underneath it all, most people are passive. They want to be led and they usually don’t really care by whom.

I would refer to it as the prevalence of the peasant mindset whereby the unwashed masses care about nothing beyond their basic day-to-day well being. So as long as they have enough to eat, some form of entertainment, and no one is beating them physically, they couldn’t care less about what is going on beyond their immediate environment. I live in fairly close proximity to many such people, and so I know this to be their way of life.

I would qualify that by saying we’re defenseless unless and until people are elected to positions of political power who have the courage and the will to do whatever it takes to take down the stupid and the evil. And history confirms that there are ways that can be accomplished.
