Yep. Many think Trump (or anyone else) can drain the swamp. They cannot. Only the people can by pressuring or removing corrupt politicians - 90% need to go. But that’s only the start. Next step is to shrink gov a great deal. Remove agencies, move other agencies to the midwest (scatter them). Reduce/Remove legislation giving power to DC. Shift the power to the states. Stop funding states unless it’s an emergency - currently DC offers money (bribes) to states if they do their bidding. Change elections to zero funding allowed, no more lobbying. Make election day a holiday. Pass term limits. Demand a budget every year……….and many other things.

The swamp is a problem that can’t be fixed quickly or just by swapping employees for others. The swamp is the ballooning parasite that we pay for (sadly) and answers to no one. There are zero good people in the swamp, the good ones quit a long time ago.

Having said all of that - I want Trump and every politician to talk about the swamp every chance they get. The response of the public empowers them to act.

The swamp/deep state are the same thing, a corrupt bureaucracy that is milking America dry while crippling it. They answer to no one, they dictate how America functions.

It will never get fixed until most politicians admit it exists and is a problem. It will take decades to change their thinking but the people want it gone now. It doesn’t help that voters aren’t helping with this effort instead of complaining that Trump can’t do it.
