Daniels saw an opportu ity to fleece. Off the record, Iwould not be surprised if it comes out later that cohen the sleaze was in on the sting.
Trump was out of his area of expertise in dealing with COVID, and he had to rely on those who had dedicated their lives in that pursuit. Unfortunately, as was the came in others he selected, he chose poorly.

You have to realize that anyone that does not bow down and declare undying loyalty to the DONALD is a Bushie, a swamp monster, a RINO, a traitor and any number of other epithets you’d care to name.
You would think that Trump and his supporters would be trying to persuade and win over voters, or at least convince supporters of other candidates to support Trump if he does win the nomination. Instead, they seem determined to drive away even many who have voted for Trump in the past. The same people who openly declare in one breath that they will not vote for the GOP candidate in 2024 if it is not Trump will turn around and tell you you MUST support Trump if he is the nominee in the next breath. And some how they believe this will work in their favor.

Trump never did fit my definition of a leader, as drilled into me in the Army: a leader is one who takes responsibility for everything his unit does, or FAILS TO DO. Sure, he takes responsibility for the good, but always blames someone else when things go badly. You cannot deny that.
