We already knew that the Biden family was getting money from Chinese entities, those entities we believe were associated with the Chinese Communist Party. But we did not have proof that the Biden family was receiving money from the Chinese Communist Party, which this congressman asserts.

However, the assertion so far is not that Joe Biden himself got money either from an entity associated with the Chinese Communist Party nor from the party itself.

More remains to be proved:

That Joe himself got direct payment (unlikely) but more likely that the money went to the family and money, which is fungible after all, went to Joe; that the entities that paid the family the money were either the Communist Party or a mere front for the Communist Party.

The question then remains whether there was collusion between Joe and the family concerning the transfers of money.

Every second that ticks from now on without these documents being in the hands of James Q. Public reduces the impact that these supposed game-changing documents will potentially have upon their release.

Wasn't Hunter Biden bitter that he was paying Joe's home maintenance costs?

As you said, cash is fungible. If Hunter is paying the maintenance that Joe no longer has to, isn't that the same as if Joe received the cash outright and then paid the maintenance with it?

Joe is still left in the same end position of pocketing the money that should have gone into his home maintenance.

Hunter just laundered the Chinese money through Joe's home maintenance.

These amounts are minor, but are examples of how Hunter could have funneled money into Joe's pocket, that is, "pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years."

What might China be paying for?

Possibly advance info about the orchestrated collapse of Afghanistan, for one thing, leaving behind all that weaponry that a desperate cash-starved Taliban could sell at low prices to China.

Favorable trade deals and agreements to look the other way in cases of Chinese industrial espionage (patent stealing etc).

Military information they might find useful.

Agreements not to cut into the fentanyl business.

Related question, what did they hope to gain from Canada’s Liberal government? Similar to the above, plus silence from our government about what it knows about the transfer of research from the Winnipeg lab to China (around 2017 or so, many in Canada think this was a stepping stone to Wuhan’s “accidental” release of COVID).

We have two governments being substantially influenced by China. Now a more difficult question, what is the payoff for the Ukraine fiasco? Fairly obvious, and maybe it has little to do with China, but large corporations stand to make enormous profits manufacturing replacement weaponry for what our two countries (and others) are giving Ukraine. We need to replace all that or most of it, and also there’s little chance most of it will survive so there’s little chance of getting much of it back.

In a more cynical moment I have thought that possibly this whole Ukraine business is contrived, some sort of three-way deal between NATO, Ukraine and Russia, to create a pretext for money and military resources to flow in that direction. Maybe Russia gets some kind of behind the scenes payoff for creating this pretext. Maybe that’s why it didn’t happen until Trump was gone.

It seems plain as day that the Bidens are bent, as people here often say, a crime family, and they are not the only ones. The entire Democratic Party is a vast criminal enterprise, they control the cities and quite a few states, and it must be very lucrative for their insiders. This is also how politics works in Canada. Provinces like Alberta who won’t play along are routinely placed at a disadvantage by hostile federal economic policies.

Some of these things have nothing to do with China except that China knows corruption very well and no doubt some of their tycoons who support the CCP cash in too. The constant pretense of an imminent invasion of Taiwan is all part of this theater. Beijing couldn’t care less what the status of Taiwan is, they just want to keep everyone in the region in a state of fear of their potential to wage war, so that nobody crosses them. Chinese business interests probably stand to make much more money from a quasi-sovereign Taiwan than a Hong Kong style subdued Taiwan. But the issue gives the Democrats a perfect excuse to appear tough on China, something that is an illusion.
