Sounds like some Daily Mail writers need to stay out of Texas. They appear to be out of their crying helpless, criminal-supporting element.
That is one poorly-written article. The title says the kid rammed a police car. But then in the article it seems to imply that the kid actually struck a police officer.
Kinda makes you wonder if the Daily Mail has an agenda here.
Temporarily.
JUDGES don’t indict. That’s the PROSECUTOR’S job.
He tried to use a stolen vehicle to kill the cop. The cop opens the door to his car, and the kid rams the police car on the side of the door.
I don’t see a debate here. What we have is a failure to educate the population on what happens if you: 1: Resist arrest. 2: Attack a police officer. 3: Attempt to kill a police officer. Virtually every single police ‘tragedy’ is related to these three events. The rest mostly are mistakes or bad decisions. A few are ‘dirty’ cops.
They also were responding to a “shots fired” call, so they had no idea of what to expect when the ‘perp’ plowed into their patrol car. Had they waited, more than likely they would be dead. But, as usual, the authors leave out so many facts it is impossible to assess the truth of the shooting and whether it was justified or not.
Thank you. I think the rap-culture, Hollywood and other media are instilling this kind of behavior. A lot of them are going for their street-cred it seems.
[stolen Toyota Corolla]
Oh, what a feeling...
I don’t like cops hassling people for no good reason - but when a criminal is involved in something like this - well, no one made him steal that car...

A five year old with a pistol can kill just effectively as an adult.
I don’t think the assailant’s age matters. He was attacking withe two deadly weapons, a gun and a vehicle. The officer shouldn’t let himself be killed just because the attacker is young.
“Try to run over a cop and you get shot”
That seems to be a simple, easy-to-understand rule…
Thanks.
My sympathies are with the owner of the car. The cop was justified in taking action.
Try to run anyone over, expect to get shot.
“Shocking”
Yeah, well...we have our own take. Don’t we?
Pure sensationalism. That's like a headline that reads; "Man robbed and killed for 45 cents."
The robber was hoping he had hundreds or thousands of dollars on him. If he knew he only had 45 cents he would have chosen a different victim.

It’s a steady job...
Used to be we could get stories from them that the American media wouldn’t cover.
Nowadays, they seem intent on stirring the pot, trying to disrupt America. Like Barky...
But they want to be a Paperback Writer.....Paperback Writer!
Pretty sure the one a month earlier was the FIRST and this was the second. Just sayin’. Unless they have some sort of time machine. And one round is hardly triggr happy. Empty mag, reload empty second mag, maybe. Simple lesson. Don’t steal cars, don’t get shot. Lastly, were there any signs of CONvid vax?
He drove right into the open door of the police car. That’s assault. Cop did nothing legally wrong.
“I just wanna know if hollow point were used and blood and brains splattered all over the inside of the car!??”
They’re illegal for law enforcement and the military.
Time traveler ... obviously.
