Was that when the old FR rule of pictures of Ann had to be posted went into the dumpster? I note no pix on this thread which is probably a good thing these days.
Then why is she telling Nikki haily to go back to the United States? It doesn’t make sense. The woman was born in South Carolina! Ann must be confused due to heavy alcohol.
Trump didn’t change it or even try.
I think a lot of them died. Average age here is 80 to 85.
Add Reagan. He was giddy signing his amnesty bill.
There’s a good chance ABC News is NOT being totally honest here...
There’s a good chance ABC News is NOT being totally honest here... (that they’re only telling one side and probably lying about that...)

Nimrata is a “Paperwork American”, not a Heritage American. And yet, when entrusted with executive power, she destroyed the SC state flag because it has a connection with AMERICAN history that SHE finds uncomfortable.
Her parents were both Indian Citizens. So she would be a natural born citizen of India no matter where she was born. She was born with dual citizenship. She can only be a natural born citizen of one country. If her parents had not attained American Citizenship before she was born, she would not be a natural born citizen of the United States. Period.

Pure nonsense, contradicted by the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment, the Scotus opinion in Wong Kim Ark and its progeny, Presidents Chester Arthur and Barack Obama, and Vice Presidents Chester Arthur and Kamala Harris. The birther contention that two U.S. citizen parents is a requirement is rooted in nothing but a fervid imagination. A natural born citizen is one who becomes a citizen at birth by the circumstances of said birth. All persons born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are born citizens of the United States. Persons born outside the United States have their birth citizenship determined by the U.S. Federal citizenship law applicable at the time of birth.
Nimrata Nikki Haley, née Randhawa, was born in South Carolina, was subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, and has been a United States citizen since birth and needed no naturalization.
Many children born of American citizens overseas may be eligible for citizenship in the country where they were born. This does not nullify their United States citizenship or eligibility to be President. John McCain was born in the sovereign territory of Panama. George Romney was born in Mexico. Ted Cruz was born in Canada of one citizen parent.
Ann is an irrelevant nitwit. I think she says stupid stuff just to get the attention, knowing nobody will hold her accountable for what she says.....
The population of planet Earth is 8 billion people and they all want to live in the U.S. (with a few exceptions) which is now 350 million people, and that’s only the people they can currently count.
Trump didn’t change it or even try.
No, he didn’t, and I think his son-in-law and daughter’s influence had a lot to do with that which is where he screwed up.
Here here. I sometimes disagree with her. Lately, she has been critical of DJT. But, she makes a point. When she makes a case, she brings the receipts. She also said that she would give up her right to vote if all women would too. Get Down! Gernade!
“That states that Nikki Haley is a U.S. citizen. If her parents were here legally as residents they were not foreigners.”
We’ll have to agree to disagree. If they aren’t citizens, they’re foreigners. Foreigners, regardless of legal status in the Country, owe NO allegiance to the US, nor do their offspring.
I will never understand why it is that whenever there is the slightest opportunity to interpret a law to the benefit of either America or non-Americans, people seem to want to interpret it to the benefit of the non-Americans.
SMH
It’s not winning, it’s all about posturing for campaign bucks.
.....
Bingo!
You believe Nicki is eligible? I’m guessing you’re okay with candidates whose parents weren’t citizens of this country. I find it puzzling that so many politicians with foreign roots want to run for office - and find support.
The founders put that clause in the constitution to prevent any person with dual loyalty from becoming President.
Right now, like most of the rest of the Constitution, that clause has no teeth and has been interpreted into meaninglessness.
You are correct.
Sorry. Others know far more than I.
I just quoted her little bio.
Implications are for better informed people to discuss.
