Currently sitting in an urgent care/er after taking a friend there after breakfast. Sign on door said no weapons with a picture of a gun and knife. I have a CHP and currently have a Glock and 2 knives on me.

You can be sure Newsom and HIS family are protected 24/7 by armed guards. He wants to make sure you can’t do same.

And nobody reports on it anymore.

How much does it cost to protect the mayor of a major metropolitan city? In Los Angeles, about $450,000 a year. In Houston, about $339,00 a year. In San Francisco, anywhere between $1 and $72 million.

SF Appeal revealed today the budget for Newsom’s personal police bodyguards comes out of the San Francisco Police Department’s Investigations Detail, which boasts a $72.9 million budget.

The cost to taxpayers of protecting Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and California’s other top officials has nearly tripled since the Governator took office, to close to $38 million a year, figures obtained by The Chronicle show.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Among all the states, only California provides bodyguards to all its statewide officials — right down to its superintendent of public instruction.

It will cost California taxpayers more than $31 million this year to protect those seven officials and others who work in protected state buildings.

Jul 6, 2022 (CBS) — California’s travel ban to Montana only applies to state-funded trips. Governor Newsom’s travel did not use any state funds.

but,

“Although Newsom paid for the trip with personal funds, he seems to have been accompanied by a taxpayer-funded security detail — which his office and the CHP have suggested is a permitted exemption under the travel ban.

As of Aug. 17, the CHP had spent nearly $132,000 on Newsom’s out-of-state protective detail, according to documents I received in response to a public records request.”

Understood.
With the very greatest of respect, do exercise care not to accidentally drop anything or walk through sny metal detectors.
Just simple prudence.
In the larger picture, there are several states in desperate need of political reform — including the once- great state of Californication. Also obvious candidates NY NJ PA Mass Illinois AZ

Which is why very few people obey the illegal “laws” in Californication.

Scared people obey them. But scared people also disobey them. The "laws" are stupid.

I have encountered many co-workers and friends in San Francisco who have guns, in their desks or on their person, despite there being almost zero permits allowed.
