You’re right about Grove City. My hubby almost took a professor job there about 20 years ago and we learned about their finances. Hillsdale is one we donate to because they refuse tax dollars.

Many in my family have gone to Bob Jones University — also refuses tax money.

Last I recall they no longer even qualify as a tax deductible charity. Private donors amped up to compensate. Not my cup of tea (they aren't big on Catholics), but I appreciate them sticking to their principles and paying their own way.
