Maybe not a good idea. With the pols coming and going quickly, the unelected 25-year-old staffers will be running the show. They’d have the continuity, knowledge base, etc., and keep things operating while the newbies get up to speed.
1. The GOP only managed an uncomfortably slim win in the U.S. House of Representatives during the 2022 midterm election.
2. The Renegade GOP congress critters split the GOP vote for Speaker, while the Dems all voted for their new leader Hakeem Jeffries.
McCarthy screwed the pooch by moving into the Speaker's Office before the vote, while sorely underestimated the number of GOP congress critters who oppose him. McCarthy reportedly chose to threaten committee seats for those who oppose him.
Meanwhile, the GOP renegades are reportedly moving the goal posts with their changing demands.
